Great place & great staff! Very cool place to check out for a drink and apps or full entrees- they've got an unusual menu, but everything is delicious! Give it a try! I'll be back-

One of the best local places in Downtown Manhattan. Check their "Bites" menu for the Deez Nuts (no joke - highly recommended) and the Shrimp Chips. Their Red Beans ‘n Rice are exceptional... true Southern cooking and perhaps the best to be found here in NYC. Next on my list is their Smoked Brisket. Along with great 5-star food, the service is excellent, and don't be afraid to ask them for recommendations if you can't make up your mind. You won't be disappointed.

Always a favorite spot to hit. Suggest the duck and waffle and a duck buck to wash it down

Everything was eff-ing delicious. Me and two other people shared the jerky, mussels, wings, ribs, and the goat neck. Goat neck was the highlight but everything was on point. I also enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and the ambiance. I'll be back next visit to NYC and will definitely spread the word.

Nice place, small menu but great service and food! Went with two friends and shared all the food. We had collard greens, the ribs, goat neck and dirty rice. All the food came quickly and was great. Music wasn't too loud either. Although the place can get cramped. Note, the restaurant can be difficult to spot from the sidewalk. Very easy to get to from the 1st avenue L train stop.

Good selection of meat options. Goat neck is their most popular dish and once you taste it, it's clear why. The meat is super tender, juicy, and flavorful. Sizing is definitely appropriate for two people. Unfortunately, we didn't order their famous watermelon ham though...

Great place for some good old BBQ dinner. Smoked brisket on Tuesday was awesome, and the dirty rise smoked lamb and smoked whole goat neck were simply delicious. We came here because of the BBQ watermelon internet meme, vegetarian BBQ, now that's a great innovation, but unfortunately you have to order it in advance. The tabe next to us had it though and it looked great! The cocktails and the Apple cider were also very tasty.

Went here for brunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Their coffee is French pressed, juice is fresh squeezed, and the food is delicious. The staff is friendly and the service was relatively good. The only thing keeping it from being five stars is that it's a little pricey for brunch, and the food took quite a while to come out. Otherwise, this is a unique little place with and interesting menu and really good food.

Great little place....and my brunch was awesome! As always I start with a hot cup of coffee....pressed and divine! I asked the chef if he could do me a solid and make pancakes for me.....OMG, I got quite a few of them, silver dollar size and I ate each and every one of them....he got a great tip. I also had a side of andouille sausage...sliced open and grilled....can you say YUM??? Ok, ok......well I was happy with my meal. My sisters joined me and one had the avocado toast and the other had the poached eggs, thick cut bacon and awesome roasted potatoes! Can't wait to go back!

UNREAL! We came upon this restaurant as we strolled by and decided to stop in - so glad we did! The menu is small but with plenty of options. We had eggs benedict with the thickest cut bacon we've ever seen! Be warned - the dishes are hearty, big, and rich. We fell into quite the food coma when we came home! Service was excellent as well, and my delicious french press coffee was served so nicely! Worth a visit!

Saw this had a decent review so decided to give it a go for brunch. The restaurant is decorated in the distressed look, not too large an inside space and some outdoor seating. Consequently, noise levels were fine to hold a conversation without needing to raise your voice. We started off with the Beignets & Chocolate, which were okay, but the Beignets weren't as puffed up or airy as we've previously had. Still not bad, very hard to go wrong with donuts and melted chocolate! For our mains we had the Benton's Bacon Benedict and the Benedict De Marie Laveau. Both looked practically the same, with the main difference being the meat and extra ricotta cheese in the latter. Both tasted lovely, especially liked the sweet potato home fries. Nice and crispy, rather than soft, which sweet potatoes tend to end up being. The service was fast, attentive and friendly. A nice place to go for a meal.

I’ve been dying to visit Manhattan for the sole reason to dine here again. I will never forget how amazing the food tasted and what an amazing experience it was. The tartar was to die for and is a must when it’s on the menu. The drinks were fantastic too.

I saw it on triple D and I went there llooking to try the same food that Guy got, I was a little sad that two of the dishes were out of the menu (you can not beat seasons) so we ordered some unexpected food and the goat neck... OMG, I have to come back... the goat neck was amazing!!! and the nori fried chicken was a beautiful discovery... Obviously, I need to double check the cocktails

Great spot for dinner. You can get solid drinks and food. The brisket plate was shareable and definitely opt for the fatty brisket. The crust on the brisket was peppery just like it should be. Underneath the crust, you find the pink smoke line and that clog your heart fattiness. It's to die for, totally worth it. The trout salad was a nice complement, heavy on the dill. The dressing had a nice fresh brightness. The trout was flavored well and you can even finds bits of crispy skin. Wish it was in my neck of the woods.
