Fresh ingredients, huge portion sizes, reasonable prices. In truth it was extremely fresh fish and very well cooked noodles. I have no true complaints except for the fact that their “spicy” isn’t at all spicy. It was just lacking the flavor I expected, I had to added all kinds of chili oil and such that they offered but it just wasn’t spicy at all. Good service
First time at this ramen place. So yesterday, after my friend and I finished painting at color me mine — we both were looking for a place to brunch, so we stumbled upon this place on Google map as it was nearby. As we enter the restaurant, the waitresses there were attentive, polite, and welcoming. We got seated really quick, then served with water and the menu. Next, as we looked over the menu, the price range was very accommodating considering the inflation now. The food was delicious, by far one of the best ramen I have had in the city. I give 5/5 stars for everything because I was impressed with the food and portions, pricing, and atmosphere. I can't wait to visit again!
My go to ramen place in the city. The flavor of the broth was dense and the noodles were good.
Only thing I don’t like is I felt rushed. Waiters didn’t give us much time to look over the menu and came back really quickly even after we asked for more time. However, I understand it was very busy and a Saturday.
Zurutto was a nice ramen restaurant. The classic, miso, and deluxe were all delicious. The chicken gyozas were tasty too. I think I preferred the miso ramen out of the three that we ordered. I probably will order miso next time I visit.
I have been to Japan and have tried a lot of ramen in my life. And the ramen here was amazing! 10/10.
A new dish for me is Truffle Mazemen, the texture of the noodles is excellent, the tastes are well balanced: pleasant spiciness, parmesan sourness (but not intrusive), spicy minced meat, crunchy tempura topping, sesame base (creamy) and white truffle oil.
Stuff is really good!
The only thing that the owner of this ramen bar should pay attention to is the repair and the furniture is relatively old.
Second time visiting this place, best ramen on the UWS. It’s a trending spot on Pitch Social so my gf wanted to go and we invited new friends. Get the deluxe ramen and the buns, or the ramen noodles without broth they’re so creamy
Great ambience and service!
Food came really fast even in a packed restaurant. The broth was tasty and noodles cooked to perfection. Chashu pork was on the salty side but still good and goes well with everything. Decent portions and value too!
First time to Zurutto. Chicken broth is good but not deep enough to satisfy me. Ingredients is fresh and taste really good. Fried calamari isn’t as crispy as I hope it should be. In general a good place to have a quick dinner
Deluxe with black garlic oil = the best ramen in NYC. I live in Williamsburg, and go all the way to upper west side just for the taste of this ramen. Would be so nice to have it more central, such as midtown!
Food came very quick! (Good service) the appetizers were hot and fresh!! Delicious
Got delivery, was very tasty! The broth was packed separately from the noodles and other ingredients, so the vegetables remained fresh and crunchy. There was a "fee" that raised the price a few dollars, although delivery was supposed to be free, so it got a little pricy. Still was a great dinner.
I had the spicy zurruto ramen. The chicken broth was excellent and the service was super quick, which was a godsend, as I was hangry.
However, there was a handful of chopped white onions sprinkled on top which way overpowered the whole meal and my egg was still cold from the fridge. Those little details struck this down from a full five stars.
A cozy ramen shop with strong flavors from
Chicken based broths, I’m used to a pork broth but I was happily pleased with their above average service and great flavors. Give it a try. I’d recommend the fried shrimp appetizer to have some finishing salt on top or a soy dipping sauce.
i ordered their potato shrimp appetizer and their zurutto classic ramen. starting with their appetizer, it came out hot and sizzling. the dish had a delicious crunchy outer shell. it was similar to eating shrimp tempura except with a potato based (almost deep fried shoestring fry texture) shell that worked so well. the ramen was delicious, though i tend to prefer tonkotsu soup based l, but given that this is a chicken broth based ramen, it was very good. the flavors are pronounced yet subtle. intricate and nuanced, i was kept intrigued by the flavors of the broth. i finished everything by the end of the meal and left satisfied. the noodles were good (slightly over cooked for my preference) and the egg had the perfect lava yolk texture. i highly recommend swinging by and checking them out!
Pretty big venue for NYC and great service. The food was unbelievably quick and absolutely delicious for a good price. We had fried wontons to start, then each had our own ramen. Loved the ramen with huge portions and tender meat. I got the original and absolutely loved it. Overall great experience and left unbelievably full. Definitely recommend.
Food came out extremely fast and was super delicious! They sat us, greeted us and water was being placed on the table as we were taking off our coats. It's hard to say what was better- the service or the food!
