Well, The portions were not huge but that doesn't matter. The place has amazing food. I mean who would have thought that roasted grasshoppers would have been that good. This is one of the few places where I found that all dishes are as good as it gets. We had a party of 6 having dinner and all our dishes came out wonderful, duck, octopus, suckling pig, ceviche, roasted grasshoppers (I still cannot believe I had those), the beat salad, shrimp and tequila to match. The Churros and Merengue seems to polish off the great meal wonderfully. The place doesn't pretend like most places that it's a haut cuisine restaurant but it definitely is getting more there then just being a neighborhood bar, as it appears from the outside.

Coming from a Mexican background where I compare all Mexican food to my moms, this place was delicious! My sister and I visited for brunch on a Saturday morning and it was a little slice of heaven! She had the poached eggs and I had the enchiladas verdes, which by the way at some point we just closed our eyes and indulged in the what was about to be the best Mexican food in the city! You the crafted drinks were also very tasty! We will definitely bennack and recommend this to anyone looking for a true taste of Mexico!

Probably one if not the best Mexican restaurants in Manhattan. It's well worth the trip downtown for the guacamole alone! We got a table for seven in a semi-private room in the back which was awesome. To top it off, it's very reasonably priced. I recommend the Jalapeño Margarita.

Went to Black Ant for an early dinner this Saturday and had a great time. Started with Aguachile, then had Octopus and the special which was a grilled Bronzino. Everything was fresh and bright with good flavor. Ended with a really great flan. Mojitos and margaritas were all refreshing and well balanced. The staff was very attentive and it was a very nice experience. I will be going back, check it out!!

Great experience about #mextizo at black ant. A new concept of food between Peruvian and Mexican chefs, the plates are super tasty with a touch of modern ingredients. Such a great experience I enjoyed having the opportunity to taste this fusion of cultures and dishes.

Short: Great Mexican style restaurant with insect dishes Long: Mexican style restaurant with insect dishes on their menu for Dinner (not around Brunch time!!). Eating there sets you back around 80-100 dollars for two persons (including drinks). The staff is very friendly and quick, the ambience is stylish, facilities are clean and COVID rules (masks, sanitizers) are applied. The only "downside" for us was that the music was a bit too loud for chatting while eating.

It wasn't super busy, making the service great! We got the bottomless brunch and let's just say they topped off our mimosas everytime! The food was also delicious and not too much! Such a cute place inside and out.

We came as a group on Saturday and had the best experience for a bottomless brunch. The food was delicious and the menu offered something for everyone. The bottomless deal is either mimosas or margaritas and our glasses were never empty. The servers were incredible. I would 100% recommend!

Love this spot! The 3/4 food items were delicious croquettes, shrimp tacos, and home marrow tacos were a must order! Skip the albondigas. Chips and salsa were great to. Gio is a fantastic bartender w a great knowledge of tequila, mezcal, and sotol. Fun vibe. Back garden is great. Laid back but a fun date.
