Friendly staff, delicious food, authentic Italian cuisine. We ordered the truffle pasta and a pumpkin squash tortellini type thing. Both were absolutely fantastic. Loses a point because it was cash only and we weren't told when we first arrived.

Bar Pitti is a NY staple. Quick service (a little too quick), expect to be pushed on your way, but the food makes it worth it. The pasta is delicious—Italy standards. A great neighborhood spot. The construction has been in front for a while, which makes it hard to people watch...hopefully will be done soon!

The service is the very best. One of my fav all time Italian restaurants. Cash only! Try the sunny side up eggs with sauce (see pictures I posted), lasagna is next level, egg plant parm, actually everything is fantastic. Been here several times and everytime is a grand slam

Ah, finally! An Italian trattoria for Italian customers in NYC! 🥳 The menu is in Italian, the waiters speak Italian, the cuisine is Italian, the taste is my grandmother's. I came here twice by now, and the experience is just on par with visiting granny, back home. This means it's unsurprisingly tasty and filling. I seriously lack any complaint or criticism. Perhaps the price? Granny didn't charge me 😝 Today I started with cavolo strascicato (cauliflower with sausage with a hint of tomato paste). This came quickly after some crunchy bread and olive oil. As primo I got handmade pappardelle al cinghiale (pappardelle literally flooded with boar ragù) with some freshly grated grana padano or parmigiano reggiano. To end (I was already full), a lightweight tiramisù (maybe that I can do better myself, I'm used to a denser mascarpone and zabaione cream) was accompanied by (unordered) vin dolce (not too strong / liquoroso passito). I could easily come here for lunch daily. It's just homemade Italian food. I want to stress that I wouldn't call this place a “restaurant” but “bar” or “trattoria”, which is where we head to for lunch, usually, if we can't go cook back home. TL;DR “Just” *authentic* Italian everyday-food.

Their truffle pasta é molto bene! I’ve been coming here for years and their pasta never misses a beat! Their pappardelle is also a very popular dish, and rightly so- if I had to pick a NY Italian restaurant to compete with restaurants IN Italy, this would be it. Highly recommend!
