I literally can not say enough good things about this place. The Bartender Paul was one of the best bartenders. Marco the owner is so inviting and knowledgeable about his bar. Food was amazing, and authentic. Highly recommend!
The beer was excellent (I love weissbiers), the food was excellent (I strongly recommend Paulaner Wurst), the songs were great (loved all that played) and the service was very good (the waitress was very friendly)!!
As a Bavarian I love to go to Paulaner whenever I really miss home (and the food & beer there...)
Their Schnitzel, Apfelstrudel, Kaiserschmarrn & other Bavarian classics are absolutley scrumptious and the food is great quality, too - as well as the beer that in my opinion tastes better than the original Paulaner beer brewed in Munich.
Really good beer, as expected. Had good bar food too. Went in the middle of the afternoon, kinda of empty but still good atmosphere, very attentive service. The menu had classics and some innovations on Bavarian traditional foods.
Food was way better than I expected. The beer and service were also top notch, but I didn’t really know German food could be that good. Consider me educated.
Went with a friend who just moved in around the corner, trying new places.
Love this place. The beer is cheap and the owner is such a great host. He is incredibly attentive and sweet. I love going there to watch Bayern Munich play. <3

The manager and staff are excellent, one of the only real German beers you can get fresh in the US. Great menu as well.

Great prices on liters. Actual brewpub, which I did not expect. Their bright tanks are right behind the bar and the brew system is right in front of it.
We enjoyed our two recent visits to Paulaner on Bowery in NYC. We happened upon this gem while we were walking early on a Friday afternoon. We entered the German oasis and enjoyed the scent of a fresh Christmas tree while we drank Guehlwein, our favorite mulled German wine. We returned the next evening for a full dinner, and loved it! The food is delicious and the atmosphere convivial. As the weekend evening wore on, the noise level increased. The later crowds are young and joyous, so be prepared for a loud communal atmosphere. Great food, excellent service, and a do not miss brew pub!! Try the 5 beer flight so you can taste all of the delicious flavors that are brewed on site.

I had one of the most outstanding restaurant experience here!
1. I'm from Europe and I now how Polish, Czech, German, Austrian food should taste. Most of the places who call them "German or Czech" now nothing about the real taste of European food. This place has amazing traditional (bratwurst etc) and not-so traditional food.
My choice was pork knuckle cause I was looking for it in NYC for a while and it was fabulous!
2. Chef from Austria, his name Tomas. And that's also untypical for NYC, because most places have chefs from Latin America. Don't get me wrong - nothing bad about that, but who can cook better than the professional chef who grew up in the country where are cuisine from.
3. Personal touch in service. Manager is great, he always want to make sure that everything is perfect, and server (who was serving us) speaks German.
4. I had my birthday dinner there, my wife accidentally mentioned it, so they did happy birthday song + dessert as any respectable restaurant, but one of the guys was playing TRUMPET! That was unexpectedly cool :)
5. They brew their own beer on the spot. Selection isn't large but all you need to have a good dinner: Lager, Pislner, Wheat and IPA.
Will go there again for sure. If you want great food, excellent service - Paulaner won't dissapoint you!
This place is wonderful!!! The food is delicious, they brought us a basket of brioche and croissant while waiting for the main course. They brew their beers. Waiters are smiling and friendly. The decoration is all about wood and light. Just awesome
