Good quality sushi at a good price. The owners are very nice. If you love authentic sushi and your on a budget go here.
Great Value. Not high-end or extravagant, but that's what I like about it. Good quality sushi for a very reasonable price.
Marumi is a great resturant with helpful staff and a great menu! The garden in the back is very pretty and is a great place to eat! You will enjoy it!!!
I love this place. I've been going here for years. Since like early 2000, and uhm that's forever ago man!!! The food, the service, the staff, everything about this place was spectacular. This is where I first had "sushi rolls", my first sushi lover. Try the spider roll and and spicy tuna.. Delicious!!! They had a kani salad that was to die for, but I believe it's off the menu now.
We stumbled in on a sunday evening and was seated immediately. The setting is super intimate and quiet, so good for a date night! We ordered the sushi for 2 and it came a great selection of food! Everything tasted very fresh. The service was attentive and quick.
Nice cozy restaurant. Not too loud and perfect for an intimate dinner . Sushi was great and very reasonably priced.
Quiet and intimate choice for Japanese food, likely my neighborhood favorite. We've ordered everything from sushi to sukiyaki over the years and they've always nailed it! The food was rich, flavorful, and doesn't miss a beat. Prices are reasonable by NYC standards. The location attracts a mix of college students and people getting off work. While it's quiet on most days, reservations are recommended on Friday and over the weekend.
THE best sushi i had in manhattan
Try “chef’s shushi platter” you wont regret
Heart-warming, authentic Japanese food. As soon as I walked in, I heard Japanese spoken among waiters, which goes to add to the place’s credibility. Fast, efficient, and friendly service, with food that was deeply flavorful, seasoned perfectly, and executed well. The place is a bit cramped, but worth the trip and the wait.
Amazing Japanese restaurant located near NYU Bobst library. I’ve been here twice and every time the food was amazing. One thing though, they only take cash during lunch (which I don’t really understand) so don’t forget about that. Amazing restaurant, I will definitely be visiting again soon.
Food quality is average, but for the price in this area, Marumi is a steal. Sushi is standard. Classic Japanese comfort food options in the udon and grilled meat and fish options. I love love love nabeyaki udon and this is one of the few places I've found it on the menu. That's how you know it's authentic. Reminds me of Little Tokyo back in LA.
