This branch is new york is pretty big i came here with friend to lunch. Most staff are friendly the one at the door reception greeted me and our food attendant suggested me the ginger and mint tea so perfect for some not so used of snowing new york. Fast service our tacos order took only 10 mins to get it to our table. The best tacos in the US i must say. I will recommend it.
Lucky find
We stumbled on Tacombi during a stroll downtown with no particular destination in mind. Stopped here for a cold beer & a snack & wound up ordering two rounds of tacos. The restaurant looks like it occupies an auto-repair shop. Cute & clever design & layout. Inventive tacos. They look great & the flavours are fresh, zingy & moreish. I find all-corn tortillas to be a little strong in flavour plus they don’t hold fillings well & break up, but this is a minor point. Service was fine. We’d love to go back!
Perfect experience at this Tacombi (Cafe el Presidente). Quessadillas and tacos were on point, and the avocado toastilla is not to miss. You can also order Lupita, which is awesome

Tacombi started as a cute little taco shop in Nolita but it has now expanded to four locations throughout New York City. A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to visit Tacombi’s Flatiron location, which is hip, vibrant and fun. Although admittedly not a hip as the Bleeker Street location, the Flatiron location fits perfectly within the neighborhood vibe.
Esquites and extra strong margaritas! Great place for lunch on a slow day. Love how the corn & flour tortillas roll out fresh from on-site tortilleria.
Great little Mexican place to eat and drink. Had some nachos and tacos (as it was our second lunch). Wasn't very busy as the time we went was roughly 2.30pm.
Can see this place being very busy catering for drinkers that like to snack.
Love the small plate tacos..
I'm pretty sure I ordered every single Taco off-the-menu also a side of rice and beans.
It was hard to pick a favorite so I will go with the freshly-made watermelon margarita made from fresh watermelon!
I really enjoyed the steak taco.. but I tried a pork chicken and a vegetarian. Along with a crispy fish taco which I normally don't eat fish tacos but I quite enjoyed this one.
Great authentic Mexican fare in a very stylish and relaxed retro atmosphere. The menu is simple but very effective as everything on it is quality and full of flavor. The selections are very reminiscent of the delicious street food I experienced in my various travels to Mexico. The vibe looks like it would be like 1950's Mexico city.which gives it a fun and nostalgic dining experience. Give it a try, if you haven't already. Hope you enjoy.
My bf and I enjoyed their food a lot!!! It's a nice place for sharing and trying different food. It was a quiet late time to eat dinner. So we ordered not that much lol. The corn, I forgot the name, it was served as individual corn (not a while corn, so no need to worry about your mouth after eating lol). I liked the Avocado nacho a lot. Also, loved the cod wrap.. i forgot the name again🤣 Portion, Price, Taste were all good. Definitely will visit again.
Went in to shelter from the cold outside and grab a spicy drink. My first thought when I walked in was of nostalgia. This place still hangs to a lot of architectural and design details from yesteryears.
I was by myself and was seated at the bar which I usually like but this bar has the mammoth ancient -and beautiful- coffee machine that leaves almost no space to eat -I was only drinking so even though tight, it was all good for me. I spent my time talking to other patrons at the bar. They were local and had many compliments for the food. Seemed they enjoyed their food. I ordered the mezcal drink spicy and it was delicious. If you are ever around, make a stop at Tacumbi.
This place was not as authentic as I thought it would’ve been. The guacamole was okay, not as flavorful as other guacamoles I have tried before. I ordered the fish taco and the marinated pork taco (I forget their names), the pork was seasoned well, the fish was light and crispy. Overall okay experience, felt like something was missing.
They have a very nice and simple concept. Tacos with different feelings: Carnitas, chicken, fish, vegetarians. Good for people that don’t eat gluten. I love the aguas and the esquites there.
Delicious mexican food!! Loved the corn, Avacado toast and the Pineapple soda. The place has a lovely vibe and everything we are was amazing and fresh. Also it is very close to 23rd street subway station so you don’t have to walk much after you are stuffed!
