We truly felt like long lost family members. The chef made a special request dinner for my kids, and the rest of the grownups were in for a treat. We laughed, we ate, we drank wine... we ate some more! The staff brought a slice of ah-mazing red velvet cake with a candle out for my son when they overheard us mention a birthday this week! The food, the conversation, the homemade limoncello & grappa... what a brilliant evening!
Both lunch and dinner are equally delicious. Evening time can be romantic, fun and exciting. Food is absolutely out of this world. The wine list is one of the best. Ask for Elio or John.
For lunch or dinner Allora Ristorante is the place to be. Always the greatest food, wine and service. ���

Wow. Incredible. You are treated like family, the second you walk in the door.
The ambience is very comfortable and the food is perfection. Table-side prepared Caesar salad was indescribable, it was so delicious. If it was acceptable behaviour to lick your plate, I would have been very tempted to have picked mine up, but my mom would have swooped down from heaven and smacked me upside the head. You almost couldn't help it, the food was that outstanding.
The service truly is impeccable. Second to none.
We were in Manhattan for four nights and we started each evening at the bar at Allora. And we finished each evening at the bar at Allora. It was so wonderful you couldn't stay away and we met such very lovely people. Very friendly atmosphere.
We dined at Allora on our final night in the city and now I wish we would have dined there every night.
Johnny took great care of us at the bar and many thanks to Elio for making us feel so welcome. Thank you to all of you, Johnny, Diane and Elio and the boys for making our trip to NYC such a treat! You better believe it! Spettacolare!

The whole house staff, owner, host, waiter, bus, etc. are fun and welcoming. I had a wonderful meal of insalata tricolores and a special squid ink ravioli with lobster, crab, and shrimp. The waiter brought a complimentary appetizer and after-dinner drink.
The Ambiance and Warm treatment from the moment you step in the door of Allora is second to none, by far the Best in NY! The Best broccoli and linguini clam pasta as well as their garlic chicken. The only down side was the risotto was too al dente for my taste. Amazing place!
Like everyone else says, the customer service here is definitely the best. Very friendly, fun, NY Italian style and very very attentive. You definitely enjoy going there alone or with big group. There is a bar area for quick dinner or drinks too. I saw lots of solo diners.
I went with a friend and We had full dinner and the soft shell crab was Amazing!!!! I would go back there just for that. Their famous looooong pasta with meatballs was also amazing. Only down side was the dessert. They probably don’t have proper dessert chef. I say just get grappa for dessert and that should be sufficient.

Pulled up a seat at the bar. After ordering the bartender brought out complimentary prosciutto and mozzarella. Both the Lobster Bisque and the pasta with scallops and a spicy tomato sauce were not on the menu but available to order which was awesome. Lobster Bisque was ok on flavor plenty of lobster meat. Scallops were cooked to perfection and the spicy tomato pasta was just spicy enough for me not to overpower flavor. Will definitely come back when I'm I'm town again.
Wonderful authentic food only a month after returning from Northern Italy. Genuine hospitality from both staff and bar regulars alike. Will definitely return.
