Saigon Market is a few minutes walk from Union Station so it's very accessible. We got seats by the window and a serious looking server took our orders. Before we know it our food arrives (that was quick!) and they have huge servings so prepare to come in hungry. The food is really good. Prices are reasonable. The place is warm and as soon as others get up to leave, another set of diners come in. It doesn't seem to be a busy place but there seem to be a steady stream of customers, individuals or groups of 2 or 3, coming in just as others are leaving. It didn't feel crowded at all. Service is fast, served by competent but unsmiling staff, but that doesn't matter much when hunger strikes and you are treated to such delicious comfort food. Note that I said unsmiling, not unfriendly.

Overall, a good experience best shared with awesome company and huge appetites.

Will definitely recommend.

Wow, this place brought back amazing food memories of their old sister location that used to be up by me on 88th and 2nd ave. After a night of karaoke fun, and not having eaten anything since lunch other than the normal Friday night "liquid" dinner at happy hour we were starving and needed some solid food.

My girl remembered that Saigon Grill was close by, and being that it was already after 11PM, we decided to forgo the normal late night pizza slice and see if this place was still open. We found it, renamed to Saigon Market, and saw that it was open to 12 midnight! We quickly got a table and our drooling was very noticeable as the menus were handed to us. We quickly discovered that the menu offerings were pretty much the same as their old place, and we did not have to even think twice about what to get. Vegetarian summer rolls, Tasty and Spicy Chicken, Ga Sate chicken. One bite and we were transported back into time - food nirvana. Each plate was full and satisfying. So tasty we had to try to eat it slowly to actually enjoy it. Also, just like the old place, the food came out lightning fast!

Many, many options on their large menu. Just solid Vietnamese food here. Lunch specials too. Open 7 days a week until midnight. As always, the service is attentive and no nonsense which was fine by us. We also noticed that this place is very large. Kind of reminds me of going to a big restaurant in Disney World. Easy access from the Union Square 4,5,6 subway stop. Will definitely take the quick subway ride down from the UES to get our food fix again.

Hearty Pho. Stopped there for a quick dinner on a cold winter night. The pho was hearty and it hit the spot. The broth was really delicious with a depth of flavor. I wish there was a little more beef sliced into it but the portion was so big I was unable to finish it all. Overall a decent meal and service was pleasant and accommodating. Interior could use a little sprucing up because it feels a bit dated but the place is huge.

Great for takeout/delivery. Their lunch specials are a great deal with all items under $10. Portions are big. The food is delicious. I recommend the Grilled Chicken Bun (grilled chicken over cold vermicelli noodles) or the Grilled Pork Chops.

I went a year ago and the food was excellent. The decor was up to par and the setting was intimate w/ dimmed lights as expected of a Asian restaurant. The food didn't take long and was exquisite. Best part was that the meal for two was approx. $30! I recommend it.

Just OK. It was good but I'll probably try something new before I would go back. The food came out in 2 minutes (no joke), kinda scary! It was good but it was a really big place, not intimate and cute. Feels like they want to rush you to get out and have the next table sit. Oh well!

Good enough.... ...if you need a quick fix for Vietnamese food and it is a PERFECT place to bring newbies. Otherwise, jump in a cab and head down to Chinatown and you will still save money and have a more authentic experience.

My ultimate favorite spot in NYC. Tasty foods, easy portion for great price. Things can not go wrong at this place. I usually order Cha Gio (spring roll) as an appetizer or Pho Bo during chilly time. *For Pho Bo, they have 2 sizes so it's suitable for any time. For the first timer, I would recommend Pad Thai & Pork Chop(comes w/rice) and you have option to choose whether you want the pork chop cut or not. *Make sure to pour or dip in the sauce that comes with. It makes the food more flavorful. *They used to carry Jalapeno pickles and they were my favorite but they don't carry anymore due to the pandemic.

Loved the vegetarian choices. Have been here multiple times with different group of friends ( recommended by me) and everyone of them enjoyed the food and ambience. Staff is super friendly. Even though am a vegetarian they manage to cater to your preference and taste. Recommended if you are in the Union Square area. The bar is good too with a good choice of alcohol. Met here couple of friends in the evening and it is overall fun place.

Customer for 10 years! Foods don’t change and price is always reasonable! Bun Sao is out of the world! Try the appetizer platter and taste all sorts of wonderful appetizers for $15! Ambience is great! Came here when I was single and now I am dining with my two kids!!!

Saigon Market, was my go too restaurant, but this is my first visit in about 5 years. I saw plenty of reviews about the beef dish and was excited to try it. Usually when we eat here we only order the pork chops, Pha Thai or the fried fish. I regretted ordering the beef, it was very lean and chewy. My wife ordered the pork chops and it was better than ever. I great place to have dinner and drinks. If you're a true beef lover, don't waste your time and money on the beef dish get the pork chops or fried fish instead.
