This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants. The owner is an amazing guy and the food is delicious. This is where the famous nutcracker drink originated from. My favorite dishes are the squid fried rice, chicken and pesto pasta. But everything on the menu is great! If you have never been here, you are definitely missing out. The ambiance is lively and it’s a great place to grab a meal.
Awesome service, great food and portion sizes. Family atmosphere is great. The icing on the cake is they make Nutcrakers (not for the light weight). I can’t say enough nice things. They cater to all walks of life and treat everyone the same. I highly recommend. Big up to my boy Dennis.
Hidden gem: Peruvian/Chinese fusion cuisine. Spanish-speaking Chinese family who immigrated to the U.S. from Peru! Who woulda thought? This place is da bomb-digity! You gotta try the South American style chicken. I always get the half chicken with fried rice & plantains when I visit this neighborhood. Very inexpensive & reasonably priced...dare I say cheap. Locals go here, not touristy at all. Keep this place a local secret before the prices go up and gets ruined.
Best spot in NYC for Peruvian cuisine. Relocated to Miami few years ago and every time I visit NYC, Flor de Mayo is on my must do check list. The food is great and the staff is amazing!
I come here for the nutcrackers. The delicious food is a bonus. Everything I've ever ordered was always flavorful and a large portion for a great price. Never a bad experience
Food never disappoints. There's always a slight wait but I never complain because the food is worth the wait. Just grab a drink or a beer at the bar while you wait and you will be fine. Don't expect intimate and quiet. The food is good so it gets packed and people will be talking around you. Again the food is good enough that i don't care.
The attention from the staff was on point. The food was delicious and the atmosphere of celebration. Sorry for those that had bad experiences, but mine was great.
One of my favorite restaurants , services and food is always on point. I go once a month and I try to bring a friend or family member that has never been to The restaurant . Great authentic Peruvian food , 5 star service .....
The food is beyond amazing, not your average chinese food either. The lomo saltado is my go to meal. You can not go wrong. <3 I always get wontons as appetizers .... THE BOMB! i can eat this for breakfast lunch & dinner, with a nutcracker on the side. YES!
Lomo saltado is the way to go! It's a tiny spot so there's a wait time but goes by fast with a glass of sangria

Best restaurant in NYC, live in Atlanta...and still come home and head straight uptown. Love Nelson and the family who owns them.
Great place, did our dad 90th birthday celebration there and the staff was amazing. Highly recommended!!

Delicious crackling chicken served with fried rice! Only downside is the wait but what can you expect from a place that is so popular.
The drinks are okay. Just depends on who makes them. You can never go wrong with the food though. Simply delicious.
I've just stopped by here for lunch. The inside of the restaurant was clean and comfortable. The meal was well-prepared and really delicious. What I was impressed the most was that the staff were all nice and attentive.
My partner and I really enjoyed the experience here. The service was very nice. I went straight for the pisco sour as it's a peruvian drink. I was surprised at the size, it usually comes a lot smaller. I also enjoyed that there was a lot of different types of rice for sides. We had the cilantro and yellow rice which were both flavorful. I got the broiled fish and it was pretty average. It tasted like something I could make at home. My partner had the crispy ribs and it was a lot of food! They were more like fried pork chops which were good and different and it was paired with a really good sweet and sour sauce.
We enjoyed our dinner. I will give it 4 stars finally the did renovations at the restaurant.
Good service.
Ordered takeout from here. We got the Steak Lomo Saltado. It was okay. The salt on the fries overpowered everything else when eaten together. However, it would not deter me from trying other items on their menu. They gave a nice portion which I was able to split with my hubby and still be full. If I did not, I would definitely have had leftovers for the next day. The person who gave me my order was pleasant. Like I said, I would definitely eat here again but probably try other dishes.
Came here for the first time and loved it. Food was fresh and tasty and the service was the amazing.
Would definitely come back.
Omg the food was so tasty that I haven’t left yet and already want to come back. Portions are big and can be shared (depends on how much you eat), beers are cheaper than usually and the food is GREAT! We had the Lomo saltado with yellow rice and definitely worth it. This is the type of restaurant you should look for when your tired of fried chicken and pancakes on weekends!
There is a big choice of food, but I recommend the Lomo dishes (for example Lomo Saltado) as they are really tasty. Very efficient and friendly staff.
