I had amazing time at Nare Sushi in NYC. All foods were deliciously prepared and waitress was very attentive. I especially loved their sashimi and sushi. Sushi was too notch and is the best sushi you can have in NYC. It was very authentic taste that you may taste in Japan. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!
Sashimi dinner was amazing, would highly recommend this hidden gem for the quality of fish they serve. Menu might seem pricey but it’s worth. Restaurant is inside a complex with other stores. A little hard to find but inside is very quiet & peaceful. Staff is professional.
Amazing tantalizing kitchen and sashimi fare, with great service and attention to detail and cleanliness- all on amazing cutlery, made us feel welcome.
All of the following dishes were to die for:
-Renkon Fries with Truffle Salt
-House Salad and great dressing
-Homemade Yuzu Sparkling beverage
-Ice Jasmine Green Tea
-Toku-Jo Sashimi
-Sea Urchin
This place is so low key. Staff was great everybody was nice and friendly. Gave great recommendations of what we should eat since it was our first time dining with them. The drinks was on point. The atmosphere was welcoming. I would go again I think it was worth the pay. I wish I had pictures but the salmon was juicy, and the lobster popcorn was good as well it really was a tease lol cause it’s a appetizer
I have been a patron at Nare for years and have decided to re-write a review based on Nare today post mandates.
The quality of sushi has remained the same, it has always been great along with the service. My go to is the Jo sushi, it offers a variety of pieces with a roll of your choice. Toku Jo is also another great option with a bit more flare. This is my go to spot for quality sushi at a fair price. I’ve brought many family members here who don’t necessarily like sushi, luckily their menu offers a variety of items, their entrees are very good. Also they have a bar and offer cocktails. This place also offers takeout. This location is inside a building so it may not be visible from the street. They have a nice dining area and have seats at the sushi bar as well.
The fried lotus root in truffle sauce was good. I felt eh about the flavor of the unagi don and the same goes for the vegetable on the side of that dish.
Don't eat your chopsticks.
It is rare to see actually good food nowadays. It is even more rare to see good food with excellent execution and presentation. And I think that Nare hits those marks easily. The place is small but when we got there it was packed. I mean almost completely. Given that it is located on billionaires row it has to keep the standards high but I don't think it's going to be difficult.
The Omakase is one of the best I've seen around with A5 Wagyu, fish, and seafood imported from Japan. It's a rare sight to have a server explain to you exactly where your food comes from, most places just have it written on the menu if at all. The fish is fresh like I've not tasted in many restaurants. The sake is nicely complementing the food. The atmosphere is intimate and that makes the experience so wonderful.
Definitely worth a visit more so before the business lunch crowds come back.
