Immaculate museum! It’s huge and will take at least a couple days to really enjoy! There’s just so much to see, so many displays and exhibits. This experience is wonderful to do alone or with a group. I prefer to go alone and not have to rush through. Past experiences with groups have taught me, some things are more enjoyable to do solo. I definitely recommend visiting and hopefully, I will be able to visit again in the future.❤️
I went on a Sunday for the Fashion Exhibition but tickets were sold out.
I checked out other exhibits which I have seen many time but never without many other visitors. At times I was in rooms alone. I was able to get a ticket for fashion exhibition on Monday which is members day. The museum is magnificent; a must visit. The Fashion Exhibition was stunning.
Had a time of my life at this place. 1 day is not enough if you're really looking at things carefully. I wish I had more time. The Egyptian and India section blew me away. Also saw some Van Gogh paintings. Kinda overrated. So many better painters also. This place is huge and it's worth every single penny to go there!!
I always love going to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I made reservations before going bc I thought reservations were needed. However, once I got there, after standing on a socially distanced line and having my temperature taken, did I see that I could've just come and bought my tickets the day of. You need to wear your mask at all times.I arrived at 10:15am and the museum was not crowded. Everyone was able to maintain 6ft or more at some exhibits. I enjoyed looking at all the beautiful art work. I plan to return on another day.
Beautiful, calm. A true experience. The sculpture collections took my breath away, and I never thought of myself as a fan of 3D art. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to explore Henri Matisse's work, and my eye spied a Georgia O'Keefe piece that wasn't of flowers! This museum would take at least a full day to truly explore, so don't expect to see even half of it in two hours.
I am so impressed by this incredible museum — the architecture inside and out, the volume of art, the presentation and documentation, the variety of pieces and cultures... I had a wonderful experience. There is so much to see, I likely will go back more times as I mostly had time for the Egyptian section. I was able to reserve a time slot online and pay what I wish for tickets since I’m a New York resident, so that was very convenient. And once inside there were free tickets to book for specific exhibits.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art is known internationally— and for good reason. The museum has thousands upon thousands of works of art of various styles; one day is not enough to see the Met in its entirety. I highly suggest you go to the Met when you visit New York— there is nothing else like it.
Profound and amazing museum! This Museum is giant and you must take at least two days if you want to get the most out of it. Every exhibit is packed with history and culture. This is a great place to go whether you are a tourist or not. I 100% recommend, and will definitely be going back
