A trip to France. Love the place, the setting is straight out of a small French Cafe. All the food is prepared to meet the standards of a French restaurant in Paris. I enjoyed the cod fish dip, the duck and the peach melba. Again I have been here many times and the steak is my second choice. The standard red wine is a full topper of this nicely prepared meal. One note is to make reservations, for the place is small and fills up. You are not rushed out, so be ready to ask for the bill when you choose to leave.

Delicious meal, great service! Fun, varied crowd...space was tight but it came across as cozy rather than cramped. Absolutely worth the trip.

Mmmmm mussels. I came on a Tuesday and was suprised to see it so busy with a very diverse crowd. I think this place could potentially be appropriate for any occasion. The center of the place it filled with a beautiful long wooden tablet that seats atleast 22 people. There are also more private tables for dates in the corner. Upon arrival, I also didn't know about the special mussel deal which was fantastic! It's every Teusday... check it out.

Great atmosphere. I was lucky enough to be taken to Chez Jacqueline's by an old friend, a native newyorker, in October 08. The food was excellent , I had the snails for as starter, I can recommend them. Jacquelines hospitality was very welcoming and we will deinately return next time I am in New York

Nice for a quick bite before the movies. Good spot in the lower Village, very close to several independent movie houses. The food is good (try the calf liver, if you have the taste for that sort of things), and the price is right (for a French place). The wine list is the problem: mostly (or exclusively French), which in my experience isn't exactly the best bet, unfortunately.
