The Met's Costume Institute opened “About Time”: Fashion and Duration at the museum's Fifth Avenue location on 29 October – the original planned opening in May 2020 was postponed due to the COVID-19.
Lovely location with good views and exceptional service. The food is what you'd expect at The Met: outstanding.
Actually, pretty good. My daughter and I went for tea during a visit to museum and enjoyed it. We had done the same 2 years ago and at that time it left a lot to be desired, but they have clearly upped their game. I distinctly remember tea being given to us the last time in a cup of hot (-ish) water. This time we each got a pot with truly hot water. Finger sandwiches were a mixed bag but generally good. We had to ask for 2 more mini-scones because we only got one apiece, yet they were the best thing on the tray. Very attractive view out the big windows toward Central Park and Cleopatra's Needle. There are better places for tea in NYC, but you can't beat the setting.
