Dinner last night in Polpette's backyard garden felt like we were dining in a little cafe in Rome! My shrimp scampi was fabulous and my friend's Arctic Char was equally great. I am not a fan of eating out on the street with traffic passing me, so sitting in a charming back garden area with walls painted to look like an Italian landscape was totally delightful. I will definitely return. Great food, great service and a delightful setting.

Pasta was delicious. Meatballs were the best part of the night. The wine list was just extensive enough. The Tiramisu was suuuuper tasty. The chicken dish wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't terrible. Honestly, if you are in the mood, just the regular plate of spaghetti and meatballs at Polpette 71 will make you a very happy person. I love it when i feel like a regular because the staff is friendly and attentive and treats you like an old friend rather than a client. Its not only close to home but its delicious, ill be back!

Cannot recommend this place enough. Staff are wonderfully friendly, and the food was incredible. There is a reason this place is known for its meatballs, but I'll also say that the tortellini were especially delicious. Great location, too! Will definitely be back the next time I'm in NYC.
