Good Eats Diner located in Maspeth is a small gem of a place that is probably a favorite of the local community. I have only been here on two occasions and both times, the place was fairly packed. I wouldn't have known about this place until one of my friends who lives nearby the diner recommended it, and I am glad he did. The menu is extensive with a large variety of burgers, sandwiches, and specials. From my first glance at the menu my first time there, the prices seemed a bit steep ($15 for a burger/salad), and I felt as if I were going to be taken for a ride. However, when the food came out, I was a bit surprised. The bacon burger I ordered was massive and came with a generous amount of fries. The cobb salad my friend ordered was definitely good for two meals.
I came back here a second time a few weeks later for brunch and had the red velvet chocolate pancakes (first time I've heard of such pancakes) which was a bit sweet but great nonetheless. Brunch is fairly priced at an average of $15-18 and comes with unlimited coffee and a choice of juice or mimosa. And like the dinner portions of food, the brunch portions are just as big and can fulfill two meals.
Service at this place is fairly good given that the place is small is cozy. They have about 3-4 servers constantly walking throughout checking on the tables. Overall, the food here is real delightful and I would return in the future. One thing though, the place is a bit small, so it isn't good for big groups.
Great food. Ok service. Huge delicious salads! Diverse menu. Something for everyone.
They have the BEST Cobb salad this side of town. Period!
The best little diner in Maspeth I dare you to find a cheaper and better meal anywhere.
Good Eats is one of my go to delivery spots. I have yet to have anything on the (very long) menu that is bad. The staff are incredibly friendly and go the extra mile for you. Don’t be scared off by the prices, the portions are HUGE. Most of their meals could easily feed 2-3 people.
I am so happy to have found this spot! I’m a very picky eater, and it’s hard to please me in all aspect. But this diner really blew me away. From the ambience and decor, to the service and most importantly to the food. Everything was on point. My waitress was super nice. I ordered the chicken soup, chicken and waffles and a latte. I was a little skeptical of the fried chicken but man, I’ve had chicken and waffles from the Waffle House in Atlanta, North Carolina, and even in Texas. This blew me away. The chicken was crispy, not too greasy, and amazingly juicy. The waffle was fresh, and made to perfection. Crisp, not too hard/crunchy, and the honey drizzled on it was just the perfect amount. The latte was delicious as well. You can tell they used good quality coffee beans, no burnt taste, and they topped it off with a little bit of cinnamon powder on top it seemed. The chicken soup had an abundant amount of chicken and rice, very brothy and delicious as well. Seriously, everything was amazing I was very impressed. I can’t wait to come back here again. Haven’t had such a good meal in a while.
Whether is dine in or delivery. The workers are always amazing and kind. The food is delicious and full of surprises. Been a customer for 3 years now, and they are simply amazing, specially during a time like this. They make sure everyone is safe and following protocols, they make the environment very friendly and as comfortable as possible.
My pancakes were amazing and I couldn’t even get Past the half mark. The huevos rancheros were delicious as well but a little too overpriced for just 2 eggs and a bunch of nachos around to fill up the emptiness. The hot chocolate was my favorite ! Overall, my experience was a good one.
Awesome place to buy something when in a hurry. The customer service is prompt, rates are convenient, excellent mood. Keep up the good work
Not a lot of diners do so many dishes well. The portion sizes are great and you wont regret what you purchase. Very family friendly.
