In response to the review above-I do wonder if he is aware that in Manhattan, it is often a requirement to pay for things as you go (not after you have eaten or after you've had your drink), or to leave a credit card to hold an open tab. Have you any idea how many people try to walk out on bar tabs? So insulting a bar for having their bartenders request money for what you have ordered as you order it seems a bit strange to me. It is also not uncommon to wait for service at a bar, especially when it is crowded. From a bar the advertises having typical bar food and pub fare, were you expecting it to be similar to food served at a 5-start restaurant? There are about 3 salad choices, 8 other entrees as well as several sides/appetizers. You got two drinks for the price of one which is an unbeatable happy hour deal (especially considering this is offered from 12-7 daily). If you go to a laid-back, easy-going, anything goes bar with an uptight attitude expecting to service, atmosphere, and quality of a 5 start restaurant, you will surely be disappointed.
