Right across from our theater, which was next door to our parking garage, the Glass House is an "I have to come back again" restaurant. 4 different dishes all excellent. Service was the best. Good wine list, good menu. Great bar with young vibes but cozy in the back seating area. Not sure if kids would fit in, better for pre or post theater.
We went here last year and the food is still great. I had the baked mac’cheese it melts in your mouth. The prices are great. For two lunches it was only $38. It can get busy but we went close to 2pm when there was less customers.

Theatre District Dining. Our group wanted to try a Restaurant Week eatery and we settled on Glass House Tavern which was participating in the $38 special for dinner. The service was a little slow at first until the theatre crowd cleared out, but the food was good and the price reasonable. We all had the petite filet which everyone enjoyed and the warm chocolate cake was a big hit. All in all pretty reasonable.

Very good. The Black Truffle Risotto and the Free Range Chicken were both very good. Also enjoyed the warm chocolate cake. The service was good. No complaints at all about the food. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful.
Very nice visit in Feb. 2010. Had a very affordable prix ($29.00) including grilled mushrooms, steak and smashed potatoes with carrots and a buttermilk panna cotta. Throw in a red Malbec and I was outta there for $50.00. Good service, atmosphere and they played rock music over the speakers (not live). Recommended...
Although food is excellent, it is the people who make this place great. Top notch service from beginning to end. This is a top find near Times Square in the Theatre District with a good menu at really moderate prices.
Glass House Tavern. I stopped at this place for drinks with my wife before going to a play. The prices for domestic beer were very reasonable for a new place in Midtown Manhattan. The service was great and the décor was really nice and brand new. It still had that fresh cut wood smell to it. I'll stop by another time to try the food, but from what I saw of some of the entrees that were brought out, they looked very appetizing.
