Tasty. On Rocco DiSpirito's recommendation, I tried Tal Bagel and it was spot on. The bagels are so good that you don't even have to toast them! I never would have thought I could enjoy lox & bagels on an untoasted bagel, but I did. I had it on the "Everything" bagel, but also had two sesame bagels... All were delicious.
Is it weird that the thing I was looking forward to most all weekend was my Sunday morning bagel and lox? Either way, I slept in super late and then stumbled over to this place in the upper east side called Tal Bagels. My order was simple. I got an everything bagel with chive, tomato, onion, and of course... lox. The bagel was great. It was way better than those crap bagels we eat in Chicago. The exterior had some texture but wasn't overly chewy. The interior was fluffy and soft. The lox was piled on and wasn't overly salty. It made my weekend.
