Our waiter was great. The food was delicous. I ordered the pork chop with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. Cleaned my plate. It was the best pork chop I've ever had. No exaggeration. It was so tender it cut like butter and was seasoned perfectly. For dessert I had their seasonal pumpkin cheesecake with strawberries and whipped cream. Also delicious. Had their drink of the day. I believe it was called "Risen from the grave" in honor of Halloween, containing Citron vodka, pureed strawberries, and St. Grenadine. It was very good and they don't water down their drinks. The music was a good mix. Will definitely come back again.

It's a gem: the staff are friendly, the beer is good and reasonably priced. Best of all for expats (and fans of Premier League football) they show all the games from England.

They set us up with a table with a TV so we could watch the Apple Cup game b/c we are fro Washington State!!! and great food !!!!
Roman he boss kindly bought us a beer yesterday when we came on a recce. Of course this cannot apply to all, he is a good guy & this bar is a great set up off battery park. PS Ireland currently beating Italy 39-3
After hours wind down. Becketts ia a great place for an after work pint.

Friendliest Bar Staff in NYC. Great Guinness on Tap. Lorraine and Nicole are the best looking and friendliest bar staff in NYC. When downtown, I never drink anywhere else. Ronan and Noel (owners) make sure you always feel at home here. Sister pubs, Stone Street Tavern and The Dubliner are also worth a visit.
Nice menu for a bar. Just be ready for a culture shock ($$) if you're from out of town.
Monica puts the B in subtle!. I visited Beckett's on Saturday, November 14. I was in the area after attending a seminar and as wandering around, looking for beer and pub food. I figured I would know the place when I isaw it. Beckett's was that place, with the the 16 draft towers visible from the street throughh the window. The place wasn't too busy. Monica was the only bartender on duty, and she has a great personality. The Harp drafts went down easily, and I asked Monica for some advice with the menu. I had decided on either Shepherd's Pie or Bangrler and Mash, but asked Monica for her advice. Banger and Mash it was, and great choice it was. I was dining alone, so I don't any review of the other menu items, but the B&M was great. After a few Harps, it was time to go. Good food and a nice place. If you go there, make sure you ask Monica if she puts the B in subtle. She's got a nice attitude and very nice. This is my first review on UrbanSpoon.
