Mary O’s is a special place. Great drinks, great food (favorites: pot pie, fish and chips, salmon), great atmosphere, and the unique hospitality of the one and only Mary O. People say the arts are dead in the East Village but not at this establishment. Mary O’s hosts music nights, drawing nights, readings, etc. A neighborhood place but open to all.
Mary O's is a great place for any occasion. We have had many get togethers for birthdays, going away parties, holidays etc. and Mary has made every one special. It's always a great place to stop by for a drink or to catch up with friends. We need more places like this in the neighborhood.
Mary O's is a fantastic establishment! The food I had was excellent, the service spectacular, and the environment is a great, quality, neighborhood gem that should not be missed! Mary is a sweet, wonderful woman with a good heart and soul, who makes a night out that much more of a joy! If you have the opportunity, grab an authentic Irish meal, beer and don't forget the whiskey! This is a wonderful place to go!

I love Mary O’s. My go to place in the neighborhood. Love her fish and chips. Great homey atmosphere. Always end the night with an Irish coffee. And Mary herself is fabulous. Ordered takeout once and I am hooked!

Best burger! Perfectly cooked and a pineapple slice to boot. Add some real, potato fries and it is a meal worth talking about. Delish.
Brilliant little bar with a lovely pint of Guinness and great food but what really makes this place special is Mary! Mary was amazing to us from the very first second we walked into the bar to the day we left, Mary O's felt like a real home away from home during our trip. I'll always make the trip back to Mary O's when in New York
Mary once again exceeded expectations in hosting my friends and family for a special moment in my life, this time being my 30th birthday. There are few people on this earth that can be so selfless and bring people together like she does. I am forever grateful to call her a dear friend.

Mary O's was a home away from home for me when I lived in the East Village and I miss having this wonderful spot a block away. The owner, Mary, has made herself mom and friend to all of the neighborhood folks who know that if they've had a great day or rough one, Mary will be there with a hug, great meal or stiff drink (depending on which one suits your particular mood). This is not your average NYC bar and Mary is not your average bar owner. This is the place I bring my family when they visit NYC and the place I meet my friends to celebrate new adventures. I can't speak highly enough of what Mary and Mary O's means to this neighborhood!

Best darn Irish place on the Lower East Side! Mary O is real and people who like down to earth folks and delicious food will love this place!
Mary arranged a surprise party for my daughter and couldn't have been more gracious and helpful. She knew exactly what to recommend for food, decorations, flowers, drinks and music. Mary made the entire process easy and seamless. Everyone raved about the food, how fresh and flavorful it was, and of course the drinks were made to order for each guest. Anyone should call Mary as soon as they want to have a special event in the afternoon.
St Patty would have been proud with Mary's corn beef and cabbage.
In addition Best burger ever. This is coming from someone who only eats the burgs I made. Simply scrumptious.
