This has been our go to place since I was a child. My grandmother lived on 11th and would always get our Easter kielbasa here. I go whenever I get the chance. Love this place!!!
Brought home a rack of ribs and potato pancakes for dinner last night they were amazing, had a smoked turkey and Black Forest ham on rye sammich for lunch today, I've got a pea soup for lunch tomorrow, plus whatever I do with that giant slab o'bacon is going to be amazeballs. This place is a national treasure.
I drive 10 hours from North Carolna at Thanksgiving to get Kobasa from here! My kids enjoy our family tradition! My dad and his fellow Police officers go here 2 times a year at Christmas and at Easter! Thank you all for having such great food!
The first time I ever saw this place was when I was meeting a friend for brunch at Veselka. My friend's mother was in town for a showing of "Something Rotten" but made a point to show me this meat market that was right across the street. My friend's mother told me this is the only "real" meat market left in the entire city, and that every year she treks from CT to NYC (a 3 hour trip each way for her) just to get one of their holiday hams.
I've popped in several times now to pick up various meats and I've been beyond impressed with their quality and flavor, not to mention prices. I highly recommend checking it out.

The food is great! I loved it, the meat is so nice and fresh, the smell of the cooked food is amazingly great and it makes you so hungry. Everyone is so friendly and they make you feel so welcome.

I need sausage sent to Hamtramck, MI. There are no more Ukrainian sausage stores in southeastern Michigan. I discovered this place while attending mortuary college in West Village. I brought home a large order when I finished college and drove back to Hamtramck.
