This is an Irish bar located on Park Avenue. From the outside it looks like an average bar, but Let me tell you we had the time of our lives. Great, down to earth employees and people frequenting the bar. Food is your standard American food, burgers fries soda, beer mixed drinks etc. can't get better than that. They have live entertainment every Thursday Friday and Saturday. I'm a big fan of anyone who supports live music. To my surprise they have all different kinds of music there. Ranging from Motown to rock and metal. To be able to walk in there one night and hear one genre of music and then hear a different kind another night keeps the place fun, interesting and different from other places in NYC. If your a fan of music in general, I highly suggest making a stop here on a Thursday Friday or Saturday if you haven't already. Can't wait to go back �
This place always makes me happy. Been there 8 years ago and today is still my favorite place in Manhattan to grab a beer. Cheese burger was good too !
Desmond’s is a very cool Irish Pub. Good food, great staff & a good vibe. I am a musician that plays here, Gerry White is a great sound man and the back line is in good condition! Keep up the good work... 👊🏻

Boe the bartender is awesome..and Tommy is the best bouncer ever! And he certainly knows how to get a car in a parking space...! Everyone was super fantastic!! Thank you for having the Cigar Box Stompers..hope to return!

Stop it! The best time I’ve had in so long. Bartender and bouncer were hot and so cool! Live music too. Reasonably priced and just so much fun! Go there! I definitely will be back!

The people who work at Diamonds are truly some of the nicest, friendliest people you could ever meet! It's a warm, comfortable atmosphere with great live music on Saturday nights. We had an excellent time there and will definitely go back again.
The place is just so much fun, you have Moe and Sercha (I hope I got the spelling right), ready to bring you a nice refreshing drinks with a smile. The live music on the weekends is a whole lot of fun. That's how I wound up there with my band The Cigar Box Stompers, Desmond's Tavern, quickly became one of our favorite places to play and still is. We're all looking forward to going back there in September and playing more music for the wonderful crowd there.
Love this place. Old school, NYC feel with live music. Gerry the soundman is awesome, and the bartenders are great!

4th oldest bar in NYC; you can gnaw on the same corned beef and cabbage that George Washington ate. ;). Good cheap pub food, the occasional live band; good beers on tap - the quintessential NY Irish pub.
