The best Yakitori-ya in NY! And, if you factor in the smoke-free (unlike Japan) setting, the best I have enjoyed on the planet. I was in town for a vacation week of eating Yakitori and Ramen. I used to live in Japan, so it is important that I periodically recharge my Nippon batteries, by gorging on favourite foods. I used to live next to a Yakitori-ya. And I have sampled it in almost every Japanese prefecture. THIS PLACE IS EXCELLENT!!! Staff were a well oiled and career type Japanese only team. Setting is great - small and not too busy. Food was amazing and artfully prepared. Bravo for taking a reservation (I was solo), but I was grateful it was not actually needed at 7pm. Domo arigato gozaimashita!
