Quite possibly the greatest steakhouse in New York. It was an unexpected treat, and I can't wait to return.
So Goooood!
Beautiful setting looking down on Columbus Circle and across Central Park.
Funky, colourful decor adds to the relaxed atmosphere.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our delightful waiter offered to take photos of us as we were lucky to get a window table.
The food was excellent and started off with an Amuse Bouche of delicious Gazpacho. The portions are a good size so, we decided to just go with a main course each to leave room for dessert. We had a Risotto Croquette, Halibut and Moqueca. All were delicious. Dessert was a shared Bomboloni which was big enough for all three of us to share and they are the fluffiest, lightest doughnut like balls.
The wine by the glass selection is very good and I’d recommend the Albariño.
Brilliant evening.
Everything fries at Robert's Restaurant at Scores. Instead of gyrating ladies, Scores' main attraction is a plate of fries as crisply dressed as an everything bagel's armor (poppy and sesame seeds, garlic, salt), awaiting a dunk in smoky paprika mayo. 536 W 28th St between Tenth and Eleventh Aves (212-868-4900, scoresny.com). $14.

The food is great here. You won't be disapointed no matter what you order. The staff is top rate with respect to courtesy and professionalism. The atmosphere is perfect.
I go to Scores for the food. ... and i'm a flexitarian (i.e., hardly ever eat red meat, or meat of any sort for that matter). i broke a year-long meat abstention for a dry-aged porterhouse (for 2). Crispy on the outside, totally tender inside...
the everything fries (think everything bagel toppings) are yummy, too -- funny that no one had thought of it before.
