Great atmosphere for everyone.. Live music almost every night of the week besides bingo mondays, and trivia Tuesdays. Or brains at grain. Also you can pick up a board game and play at your table, or let the kids play with the many fun games/toys available. Very laid back staff, and management. Super casual.
Great food, on a simple, yet diverse menu. Especially, an amazing brunch menu, that wins awards every year, rightfully so. All for great prices.
Beer selection and cocktail menu is very broad, with many IPAs and new releases being added to the "beer bible" almost every week. If you enjoy trying new brews, this is the place for you.
And lastly, the lay-out of the restaurant/bars is awesome. If you don't wanna sit at the front, or back bars, there is a patio AND deck out front. Which are very comfortable and relaxing. At night, they light this fire pit in the very front, right off of Main St. And that only adds to the atmosphere.
I recommend to anyone with kids, anyone who wants to go on a casual date and have fun with each other, solo artists, who like hanging out at the bar and meeting new people, beer enthusiats, anyone who enjoys great food, breakfast food lovers for brunch on Sat and Sun mornings, bingo or trivia lovers, or to any music lovers who can come and enjoy many different singers/cover bands every Wed-Sun night. Go check it out of you haven't yet, your missing out!!!
Great Atmosphere, Live Bands, Awesome Staff... whether you're stoping in for a cocktail or a beer at one of the well-stocked bars or dining outdoors beside the beautiful "fire pit."
Brian Ford was my bartender several times when I stopped in. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and poured a great drink! I highly recommend that you stop by his bar! 🍻 He won't disappoint!
Truly a neighborhood bar on Main street. Food is consistent and excellent with up-to-date, interesting menus. With lots of rotating taps and a knowledgeable staff to talk you through them, this is my favorite place to grab a beer in northern Delaware. Nightly music, a vibrant atmosphere, and outdoor seating on Main Street set it head and shoulders above the competition. Try the tuna nachos, brussel sprout salad, and ruben burger. Trivia night on Tuesday at 8 is the best the DE too.
Outstanding food, staff, especially Brian at the back bar, and great beer selection. They have a special respect for first responders which is awesome. I would recommend Grain to anyone passing thru Newark, Delaware. Thanks for everything!

Great place with amazing beer & booze selection. The menu was very creative and our apps were delicious! I highly recommend.
Staff is friendly, Top 3 Bloody Mary’s in the state plus the beef jerky and army man for the win! Food is good, bartenders are knowledgeable and who doesn’t love live music! Kid friendly and a great brunch or day drinking spot... icing on the cake is the way they treat first responders!
Somehow we always end up at Grain. Love the beer selection and the menu is full of tasty options. My son loves the wings, and we almost always opt for the burgers.
The service and food deserves 5 stars.

Always enjoy this place. Great atmosphere, Staff, Food and drinks. Parking is not always the best but once you get inside all's forgotten when greeted by a friendly staff.
Went in Saturday evening, 07/07/18, beautiful weather, we still were able to get a table outside, we had my 92 yr young Dad with us. I told that to the hostess & she quickly said the seating is stools with no back out there, would he want a chair with a back? Yes that would be great I told her & she carried a chair out for him to replace the stool. Worked great, enjoy the fresh air & good food! Thank you! 😊
