Great food! I love the Beef and Lamb Gyro and Falafel sandwich. I'm always amazed at how large the portions are for how much you charge. The lady working today was so compassionate for a man who had come in off the street. I'll be going here more after what I witnessed today and recommending you to others. :)

Great food and prices. My husband and I frequently get take out from this hidden gem in Newark. You wouldn't know it from the name or location of the restaurant, but the food is extremely high quality and it is homemade Mediteranean food, certainly among the best you will find in Delaware. I like the gyros, but in my opinion their specialties are their chicken and beef tagines (both are cooked so well that the meat falls off the bone, and the vegetables and spices are perfect), couscous (I think on Fridays only- lamb or chicken), harira (a great vegetarian soup with chickpeas), and their "salads" (which are more like dips with great bread): taktouka and eggplant. I highly recommend this place. Their food is a staple in our household and I hope they'll be around for a long time.

If you like gyros, this place will blow your tastebuds away with it's sizzling, mouth watering flavors. I reccomend this to anyone looking for a 5 star meal at a small price

Taking a spin to the other side of things. This was a ride on the wild side. Very flavorful full of flavor. Meat seasoned and cooked perfectly. Rice cooked to correct temperature. Salad had some interesting toppings but was not surprised. Will return. Thank you for a humble experience.

This was my second time visiting Gyro King restaurant. The first time I had lamb Gyros which were delicious. My last visit there I had a salad top with lamb meat. The salad was pretty good. I do prefer the Gyros sandwich over the salad, but the salad was filling. I would visit again to try one of their Greek platters.

It is great to have access to Mediterranean food and another place to get gyros. There are not a lot of places in Delaware to get them. Absolutely delicious gyros. I have had the chicken and lamb gyros which are quite tasty. The price of the combo is reasonable. I have not eaten inside the restaurant but from what I can tell it looks clean. I hope they never go out of business.

Delicious food. The staff is friendly & courteous. I asked how you pronounce some of the items on menu & he was able to help me pronounce it better. Everyone in my family was commenting on what a good choice of food to enjoy for that night. Co-workers have also commented about going back. You get the right quality of food for the price you pay. I would recommend going here if you would like to spice up the normal lunch/dinner options... We had the lamb, beef, & chicken gyros, garden salad, & Greek salad. Some of the options were not available because of popularity. But I do recommend ordering ahead for lunch rush. As it is popular.

The gyros here are mouthwatering, but some of the other items were disappointing. The tilapia platter was dry and bland. The chicken kabob platter meat was overcooked and dry. The Greek side salads I ordered were regular salads (no feta, olives). Next time I'll just stick with the tried & true - gyro sandwiches - which are perfectly seasoned and delicious. Also, they forgot part of my take-out order (but charged me for it) and when I called back just said "so sorry". Due to increased costs, their prices on everything are about $2-$3 more than the menu posted on their website (they admitted they know their website is out of date, but "it's hard to post a new menu since we've raised prices twice this year").

I always get praised and adored by my coworkers when I let Gyro King handle our catering orders. People at work loves it and it makes it easier when we have vegetarian or vegans attendees. The presentation is usually beautiful, the price is unbeatable and the food is outstanding! I can't stop praising Mr. Ghani and his staff for all the good work. I will totally recommend them and will hire them once more for future events. Thank you!

I got the kabob sandwich it's a wrap just absolutely stuffed with meat. Like a pound and a half worth of just sandwich, it's legit heavy. I highly recommend.
