Our family went to Yama San for the first time last night and loved it! So awesome to have an amazing Korean restaurant in the neighborhood! This will be a regular spot for us!

Hey local peeps. You all know how much I like supporting and promoting great local family owned businesses. Here’s another one that you MUST check out. After hearing how good Yama San is from a few different friends my wife and I decided to go give it a try last night. We were NOT disappointed. Having lived in Dos Vientos for so long and seeing restaurant after restaurant come and go, I'm really hoping this one sticks around. Kelli had their Beef Bulgogi, which is a shredded and seasoned beef served with white rice. I had the Kalbi, which is thinly sliced ribs seasoned and served with white rice as well. Both dishes came with various side dishes, 10 of them in all. Some of them we liked a lot, a couple we did not, and a few we thought were good. The great thing is they are served in small sample size amounts, and they come all you can eat. If you especially enjoy a particular one you can get as much of it as you like. I was a fan of the potato salad and the shredded sweet radish. I haven't tried it yet, but they also serve fresh sushi, which I have heard is excellent as well. Please support this great local place. I’d like to see them stick around.

Confused, was looking for korean restraunt and there was lots of pics and reviews of Korean food. They had two things on the menu, korean short ribs and bugolgie beef. Both great but no kimchi or bimbop. Find out new owners, new menu. Needs to be relisted. Good food just not much korean anymore.

Very nice people! I had the kalbi BBQ ribs (Korean style), and it very good, although it would be nice if they had kimchi (and yes, it's mostly a sushi restaurant). However, the meat was marinated in a classic sauce that had too much vinegar, so the taste was not quite what it should be. That's an easy adjustment to make, and I look forward to be a regular customer.
