For me, the ambience makes this place a little gem. I had the cooks special; scrambled eggs, one pancake, a slice of French toast and 3 sausage links. The hubs had a stack of pancakes and bacon The pancakes were the fluffiest I have had to date! Kudos to Great Hill Maples for keeping this little gem. I heard about it over 30 years ago when my friend lived nearby. I lost touch with her and figured that this place was gone too. I didn't get to go until this past Sunday. I drove by last year and saw it was still there, but closed for the season. I am so glad I made it before the spring shut down. I can't wait to go back! I love the barn and all the antiques and if you have never had real Maple sugar before, you are in for a real treat!

I’ve made the trek to other faraway “pancake barns” with the family and they’re great. BUT, I’ve been dying for a local pancake place here in the Seacoast and Great Hills is a WONDERFUL find! They excel at pancakes, the homemade syrup was top notch, and the “whole apple” apple fritters were wonderful. The building itself is very quaint, packed with fun relics of the past, and warmed up to winter’s toasty perfection by two hardy wood stoves. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was delicious! Some unique treats, like homemade donuts and breaded and fried apple slices (their version of apple fritters). Baked beans were a fantastic treat. All served with delicious local maple syrup.

Great homestyle feel! The owner was very attentive and kind. The maple baked beans are worth it alone. They are only open for a short amount of time, so get there while you can. You will not be disappointed.

One of the coolest places in new england. Great food, great decor, great ambience. Never too busy for you. Only down side is the hours, one day a week for 5 hours. The most memorable restaurant in this whole state. Go, you wont regret it. Go out of your way to get here.

The food was good. It was very busy. I sat at a bar area because I was by myself and all the tables were full. They have early bird specials if you arrive before 9am but you only get 1 pancake and 1 piece of meat.
