I went here with my son because of the 5 stars on Yelp. This place did not disappoint. From the greeting at the door to the food being served we’re all pleasant. I actually tasted the anchovies in the Caesar dressing and the pull of the cheese on the pepperoni pizza was amazing.
Awesome authentic Italian. Portions are excellent and pricing is not bad at all! Friendly staff will definitely bring us back from Virginia Beach to enjoy again.
Mom and I at at Azzurri for lunch. She had the Eggplant Parm with Spagetti, I had the Philly Steak Stromboli! Everything was great. It wasn’t busy when we got there. As we were sitting there, people began to come in and dine for lunch as well as pick up their to go orders. Azzurri is a great place to go for authentic Italian cousine.
If you want Southern Italian cooking, THIS is the place. Easily the best Italian restaurant in Newport News. Between this place and Reginello's you can get good Italian cooking in most of Hampton Roads. My only complaint was the pasta sauce was too sweet for my liking, but that is a taste preference and not a reflection on the restaurant itself.
The meat sauce was the perfect consistency and the meat was perfectly cooked. I also hadn't had a meatball that good in a while.
Definitely will be a repeat customer.
Service was fantastic, and Sinatra was playing, you have to love that. The Bruschetta Toscana was amazing, I'll probably order that every time I visit from now on. I tried a slice of the pizza I ordered to go when I got home, and it's the perfect chew on the crust! Looking forward to going back to try everything else now.
This restaurant really gets it right! The pizza is delicious! I love the crust. The sauce and cheese are very much working together to bring a satisfying bite every time.
They provided excellent service and even delivered it to the nurses station for my donation Easter weekend!! You definitely need to try Azzurri Italian Restaurant when in the Newport News area.
Loved my chicken picata. Husband loved his bake ziti. Prices were great.
