Great atmosphere, sitting at the window with a sunset over the harbor. Friendly, attentive service. Food was a mixed bag. Oyster shooter: oyster was great, fresh and plumb. Cocktail sauce too thick, wouldn't come out of the glass. Crab chowder just luke warm, bland. The smoked salmon in the smoked salmon salad way too salty. Tuna dish was great. Fish stew was the highlight of the evening, great flavor and loaded with fish and shellfish.

Stopped in for a birthday dinner. We got the fish and chips with halibut and the crab po boy. I think I liked the sandwich even more than the fish! The crab was delicious and the roll was so soft. Good tartar sauce, too. We were surprised by the 20% automatically added gratuity for dining in. So be aware of that if that’s a turn off.

Scott was amazing. The food and drinks were great. The setting was great. They brought out the fire pits and too the umbrellas when it became shady. The food was great, we ordered the salmon and I got the halibut (or a white fish, it's been a while). I decided to finally make a review because Scott's personality and service should not go unnoticed. He was the best server I've ever met. He was personable, went into detail, and was always attentive. The restaurant is lucky to have him!!!

Took a Sunday afternoon to enjoy lunch with the Chef's Tasting Menu, and it was fantastic. Creative, elegantly plated, cohesive flavors and excellent tastes! Highly recommend any tuna dish from here, cooked to perfection! The seafood pasta was packed jam with scallops, shrimp, and dungeness crab with a variety of vegetables. Highly recommend!!! I am excited to return and try more of the menu!

Food here is so delicious 😍I would just come here from Portland to dine at this place 😅all the dishes are presented well and taste delicious. The staff is too good. They come and ask for feedback almost after every dish. Overall 10/10 experience with food here.I loved the devilled eggs and albacore tuna poke. Devilled eggs was a bomb of flavours. All the dishes were just perfect

What a pleasant surprise!  I would even go so far as to say that this is the best seafood restaurant in Oregon.   Living in the Portland area, I think we have tried most of the highly-rated ones around town, but Local Ocean Seafood blows them out of the water easily. Quality and taste are the two main things that stand out - all the seafood used in the dishes we ordered was very fresh.   It's also cooked to perfection, without using much salt.  In fact, every dish was perfectly balanced and filled with generous servings of seafood.    We had Seafood Linguini and two different stews and all were delicious.  The waiter told us that they started out as a seafood shop for the local fishermen, then branched out to a cafe, teaching the local residents how to prepare seafood.   Boy, I'd say they can now teach many top chefs! Service was great, compared to what you get in big cities like Portland.    The waiter was warm and attentive.     The only slight knock is the mandatory 20% tip charged to the bill, although we would have gladly paid that much anyway.

We had a very enjoyable evening here. We were happy to realise there was an elevator to bring some of our guests to the first floor. We were lucky to score a table which was nicely setup at arrival. The menu was quite extensive and they gave us ample time to peruse. We had some cocktails first and I was very pleased to see a nice selection of non-alcoholic options as well. The food was pretty good. The fried oysters were apparently very good. My husband and I shared the King Salmon and the Halibut & Peaches and agreed both dishes were delightful. The service was pleasant and attentive.

Located on the historic bay front both a fish market & restaurant. If dining recommend reservations, though they keep about 50% of seating open for walk-ins. Wait staff, atmosphere, and food was exceptional. My wife & I shared Roasted Garlic & Dungeness Crab soup, and the Mexican Spicy Shrimp Cocktail. Both very good and the shrimp Cocktail wasn't too spicy. Would order both again! My wife had the Wild King Salmon, and I had the Halibut & Peaches. Both prepared excellent and would rate them exceptional.

Amazing. I ate way too much but I was so satisfied with everything I ordered. Perfect lunch, now I need a nap. Update: 2 weeks later drove across Oregon again and guess where I had to come eat. Once again, it was so good 👍 I got a couple of the same things but that chocolate mousse tart is phenomenal. And had to add an extra day to the trip so I popped by for a quick lunch and to try something different. More pictures 😍

My brother and sister-in-law drove out from Wisconsin, I showed them the best that Oregon had to offer, between scenery and the food from local Ocean Seafood.... Absolutely amazing!! Kudos to the chef for infusing such delicious food. And our server was top-notch. I highly recommend this place. I'm an exchef and I was blown away. Give these guys a try

Great experience here for lunch! We had the King Slamon, the Halibut & Peaches, and various drinks. The service was incredible, we left happier than we came. Scott was our server, he was very personable and his explanations were spot on for how the food/drinks would be made.

Had 6:15 reservations. The four of us were sat immediately, upstairs at a window table with a fantastic view over the harbor. Our server was well versed with the menu and did a fantastic job from start to finish (9/10/23).... It looks like the 2nd server may have been cut around 7 pm, and then our only server performed a remarkable job taking care of 6 or 7 more tables with at least 4-6-9 people each....BRAVO.... The food was delicious. We brought our own bottle of an especially memorable bottle of wine...

Hands down one of the best meals we've had in a long time. Our waitress, Meghan, was wonderful! We started off with roasted garlic and dungeoness crab soup that was delicious. Roasted garlic and cheesy goodness with lots of crab. They also gave us each a small plate of smoked black cod over plantains that was the perfect bite. My husband had oyster- he said the bold from Yaqunia Bay were the best but the surprise was the cucumber salsa that paired beautifully with the oysters. The star of the show for me was the Rockfish horchata. The fish was cooked perfectly and paired amazingly with the pumpkin/horchata sauce. He got the Black cod ramen which was a lovely cold night meal.

My fiancé and I loved everything about this place. Great service, INCREDIBLE seafood, clean and spacious dining area, and awesome views of the harbor no matter where you sit. If you are looking for a meal with fresh Oregon seafood, this is the best, freshest place to go in town. Oh - and best cocktails on this stretch of the coast by far! Can’t wait to go back for lunch & another specialty drink.

Delicious food with a beautiful view of the harbor. The food wasn't just flavorful, it was also beautiful. The veggies were so bright and colorful and it made the dish that much more delicious. Our server was kind and friendly and took excellent care of us. I would certainly recommend you dine here, just be sure to make a reservation first!

Absolutely excellent! It’s so nice to visit a restaurant where so much care is put into everything. The drinks are so delicious and well-mixed. The food is absolutely delicious, balanced, fresh, and inventive yet still approachable. The service is friendly and knowledgeable without being overbearing. One of the best restaurants I have visited in this state in the past 20 years.

We spent a day in Newport and decided to drop in for dinner. We had a 5yo with us and were accommodated at a high table by the kitchen. The flames in the kitchen were the perfect entertainment for our curious kiddo! The menu selection was also perfect for my wife, who must eat Gluten Free. Lot of choices for both glute-full and gluten-free folks. I personally love that this seafood restaurant offers Ceviche, Crudo and Poke dishes; imho a seafood restaurant is not a true seafood restaurant without some raw options. Of course this place can pull it off without any inconveniences due to its proximity to actual fishing docks. The seafood here is truly fresh. I enjoyed the Halibut Ceviche and Tuna Mignon; both of which were delicious. My wife enjoyed the Nicoise Salad and was equally delighted. This restaurant is a true and through a seafood restaurant, but think not of a seafood chain. This places serves refined seafood dishes well beyond the deep fried variety. The atmosphere and service were top notch. We’re so happy to have dropped in for dinner.

This is a delightful restaurant and seafood shop. Great atmosphere, wonderful food. The crab and garlic soup, I could eat it weekly it's so good. Delicious crab roll and they do a hearty beef patty for your dog. Our waitress was great, we will be back. Thanks for a good meal and a nice afternoon.
