This family friendly brewery is fantastic. They have a great selection of in house brewed beer on tap, as well as craft soda. Great indoor atmosphere with a large beer garden out back. The owners and the entire staff are so welcoming and personable. We will definitely be frequenting this establishment.
I had the chance to try some of Matt and Lindsay's brew and was immediately impressed. As an avid craft beer drinker I can confidently say that this is some good stuff! Especially the chili pepper beer!
Shortway Brewing Co. is a great place that already feels like home to me. Nice, clever proprietors who’ve made a needed investment in downtown Newport, creating a destination that should bring continued revitalization. Great beer too!

Great brew and it is a pretty cool place. You can sit on a nice picnic table inside or outside, drink beer, order pizza there, whatever you want. They even have some delicious homemade soda for the DD!
Absolutely the best craft beer in Carteret County! Best addition to downtown Newport. Keep up the good work guys. For all you haters out there, so sorry for your sad life.

Had such a great time here Sat that I brought my family back on Sunday! The atmosphere is so friendly and clean. The beer is amazing I tried the Sweet Tater and loved it! I also tried the Rhubarb one and really enjoyed that one two. You can even get the beer to go if you would like in a can or growler. Great Christmas gift ideas! Amazing job on the mural in the back. Best of luck to the Shortway's! I cant wait for the deli to open! Thank you for the Birthday Gift. I love it!

My wife Pixie and I travel throughout the country and we enjoy the atmosphere of small, family oriented breweries. Shortway is one of the finest with a great selection on brewed on the premises beers. We enjoyed the tour too.
