Love finding these hole in the wall places! The meal I got was the Chicken Enchiladas Verde. Plenty of food, plus they brought warm chips. Best part of this place is the salsa bar. At least 12 different flavors and heat levels. Such a delicious addition to the meal. Service was friendly and fast. Definitely recommend!!!
I've been enjoying Samanos since 2018 and they have not failed me yet! Both locations deliver the exact same quality, flavors and customer service experience.
I recommend the Adrian Burrito above all other menu items, but their other dishes are just as delicious and appetizing.
Honorable mention recommendation: their Quesadilla! My wife gave it 4 stars out of 5, it was delicious but the reason behind it was: the seasoning was light, had to add other sauces to slice it up. They did not hold back on the portion. Bottom line: she will order it again.
I get stuff from their food truck, but I wanted to rate the place that is behind the truck. I absolutely love their suadero tacos. I cannot bring myself to try anything else. They taste very fresh, and I felt like they are the perfect amount of food I'm looking for.
Seriously the best burrito I've ever had. I got the bacon wrapped steak burrito and it was so good. Chipotle dressing, avacado, bacon, rice, beans, green pepper. So good
Edit 10/13/2023: I just wanted to hop on here and reiterate how good this place is. Service was excellent and the Adrian's Burrito is sooooooooo good. Just finished eating one
Pleasantly surprised! This restaurant is attached to a Shell gas station - typically something I would shy away from.
Why 5 stars? The service is fantastic! Fresh food, fantastic flavors, and plenty of bang for the buck!
I ordered a steak chimichanga. It was MASSIVE. The chips are okay, and the salsas are amazing! Cannot speak highly enough about the abundance of flavors!
Delicious, reasonably priced and certainly one of the best options for Mexican food in these parts. All the other reviews mentioned Adrien's Burrito, so I had to try it and I wasn't disappointed. It's wrapped in bacon and somehow it's not greasy, just flavorful and crispy on the outside. Tacos and chimichanga were also excellent. Sort of a strange spot, being connected to the same building as a gas station, but I'll definitely be stopping by again.
We had our first visit to Samano's Taqueria just yesterday. On each of our trips from Louisville to Ft. Wayne was always stop at the Shell station next doo for fuel and snacks and we'd always say "We need to get lunch at Samano's sometime!" Well, 'sometime' was yesterday.
Samano's is an order-at-the-count type of restaurant. The menu is is located on the wall behind the counter. Tacos, Burritos, and Tortas are but a few of the menu options, and everything is made to order.
Since it was lunch we both opted for two tacos...the way tacos should be, on a corn tortilla with just cilantro and onion, with a lime wedge on the side. I had pastor and chicken, the wife steak and chorizo. I was 100% interested in the bacon wrapped burrito, but we still had about 2 1/2 hours to drive so I had to keep that in mind.
And glass bottle Coke®. If glass bottle Coke® is available, you are obligated...and, let's be honest, it goes great with Mexican food.
We arrived towards the end of the lunch rush so the restaurant wasn't very busy. A couple of tables lingered, but for the most part it was empty and the floors and tables had been recently cleaned.
After we ordered it wasn't even 10 minutes before our food arrived...and as a firm believer in "hot food hot", it was HOT! Had to let them sit a minute because they were too hot to pick up! #Awesome!
Around the corner you'll find the salsa bar and the fountain drink station. They offer a selection of sauces and salsas for complimenting your meal, as well as diced onions and pickled jalapeños. The diced onions were a great touch! All the salsas were very good, my favorite being the Salsa Chile Fresno. I don't know what kind of magic went into that salsa, but it was smoky and absolutely worth writing home (or, at least, a review) about).
The gentleman who took our orders was awesome and checked with us a couple of times to make sure everything was OK...and it absolutely was.
I'm glad we finally got to try Samano's Taqueria and, at the same time, sad that we haven't before now. That's OK, though, because we now have a lunch stop when passing through.
Initially was hesitant to try but so glad that we did! The food we had was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
We tried a pork, a chicken, and a chorizo taco...the pork and chicken were my favorites but the chorizo was good as well. Plan to try the steak one next time we go.
We also got the corn on the cob (don’t remember the name) and chocolate flan for desert. Everything was delicious.
Highly recommended and worth checking out for anyone who’s a fan of authentic Mexican food!
Best steak tacos, period. Classic Mexican tacos just meat, onions, and cilantro. They have some many salsas to keep from.
To start, the chips and a wide variety of sauces to try are the freshest and tastiest I've ever had. I thought I could be happy just having chips. They are good. The bacon wrapped burrito was outstanding.. not even a bit greasy. Very tasty. This was my first time here and will be back.
Absolutely loved it. The pastor taco was AMAZING. The breakfast burrito was FANTASTIC. My kids LOVED their quesadilla. Can't wait to go back!!!
The food is authentic, tasty and savory. The atmosphere feels like my last trip to Mexico. The staff are pleasant and the restaurant is clean. 5 stars from us.
Seriously the best Mexican I've had around Indy!!!! The elote(Mexican corn) is so delicious everyone must try it, and the burritos are amazing, I love the salsa bar and the chips they give you are hot and seasoned deliciously. Their service is awesome and they always bring the food out hot and fresh. The vegetarian burrito is amazing and so is the bacon wrapped burrito!!!! We usually split a burrito and get elotes and chips and salsa and it is the perfect meal. Thank you Samanos for such a great experience every time
The best food ever. Everything is made fresh, so you do have to wait, but it is definitely worth it. None of the big chains and restaurants can compare. Not fancy, but who cares when the food is so good.
The best Mexican food I ever tasted... salsas are fresh spicy & delicious... during a road trip we were tired of the same ol fast food... u won’t regret it 💯...
You have NOT had Mexican food until you've had this food! Great sized portions. Amazing tacos and perfect burritos. We didn't get to try all the salsas but the ones we did try were heavenly! I may end up getting a small loan to be able to come here every day! Even the picky child we brought tried it and loved it!
