Love love love this place.. Great pale to escape .. Great coffee and many fun options to drink coffee.. Wether is cold .. Frozen .. Or hot! My favorite is the creme brûlée .. With almond or soy milk
This place is excellent! The people who work there are friendly, the coffee is awesome and the food is goo!
This is a REAL coffee shop! Not like that fake substitue accross the street (starbucks). I've been to coffee shops all over the country and this is a very good one. If you like good coffee, charming atmosphere, good pastries and sandwiches, and fair prices... this is your place. If you like coffee flavored drinks or inferior coffee beans sold at "good stuff" prices, then starbucks is accross the street for you!
Good!. This place is good. It just needs a little bit more consistency between the baristas.
Anti-everything. One of the places that wants you to spend $20 or something to use a debit card. Annoying. Also, I overheard the baristas saying that they were paid on the waitress scale (don't know if it was a ploy to get tips or what) but if that is true, that is absurd ($2.45 an hour I think).
This can be a nice alternative to Starbucks or just another "we hate everything corporate" place that owes their existence to the aforementioned behemoth. Depends on who is making your drinks.
Great coffee, excellent atmosphere!. I love this place! It's become a bit of a home-away-from-home for me and my son. The people who work there are fantastic, and the coffee is the best you'll find in Norfolk. When I first moved here, I tried every coffeehouse in the city, and so far, none compare!
Hit and miss. I love independent or smaller coffee joints. This place is very cool and eclectic. The adjoining store downstairs (Texture) has very unique items.
The hit and miss comes in on the coffee side. I will say it is more hit than miss but when they miss they miss big. a few time we have gotten bad lattes but this place is still worth a visit. Plus they have punch cards. Gotta love a place with punch cards!
Goto go here for coffee. Spent 2 weeks in Melbourne, Australia and became turned on to GOOD Lattes. Came home to the states and guess what. NO coffee shops to suppress my need for good Lattes! Tried all shops and NO one makes good Lattes. Stumbled on this site that sent me to Fair Grounds and found the Holy Grail for Lattes. You gotta try it there. WHAT a fix of flavor!!!!!! Ask for Danah and tell here the old grumpy teacher sent yah mate!!!!! Well I gotta go and prepare for the fall influx of another year as a school teacher. THANK GOD for FAIR GROUNDS!!!!!!
Good Day and have a great day mate!!!!
It’s got an awesome eclectic atmosphere. They also host events so it’s a great place to check out what’s going on in the local area. Nice selection of fair trade coffee, tea, and other tasty treats. Now, there’s no credit card minimums. Elliot’s Fair Grounds is also open later than some other places. http://www.fairgroundscoffee.com/ Hours: Sun: 8am-10pm Mon-Thurs- 6am-11pm Fri-Sat: 8am-11pm View Larger Map Café Stella This awesome coffee shop has been opened for about 2 years now and I can’t believe I hadn’t been to it sooner. Another great spot in Ghent. The decor is a bit more feminine to me but still interesting. I love the fact they roast their own coffee beans here. Nice! Also, Café Stella’s coffee is legit here. I ordered a macchiato here and it’s a true macchiato. E
