Ordered quite a few things off the menu. The fresh oysters were amazing and the anchovies and ham. The carrots and the cauliflower were really good. However the main courses left a lot to be desired. The a steak was cold and the duck was sub-par. However the sticky toffee was amazing.

Went to codex on their grand opening week and let me tell you!!! We started off with their scallops and the most interesting toast i have ever had. Went with the half chicken. They cooked it to perfection!!! Well worth the wait!!
Excellent food. Excellent vibe. Dining here makes me forget I’m in Norfolk. Feels like a trendy Chicago or NYC dive. The Island Old Fashioned is delightfully light and pleasant. The BEST Brussels sprouts I’ve ever eaten.
