My husband and I had cocktails and dinner at O'Connell's last Saturday evening. We enjoyed margaritas, and fish and chips for me with curly fries, a burger and steak fries for him. Both were delicious, and the servings were large enough that we had leftovers. The atmosphere is fun and casual. Our waitress was Briana and she was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and attentive to us. We enjoy the atmosphere here, and will visit again soon.
As a family we having been going to O'Connell's for over 25 years for St. Patrick's Day as well as every time we drive up to Oklahoma. They have the best food, staff, and the people who come in rock as well. Will always come back to them!!!
Had a great luncheon today at O'Connell's. We had tried to call but never got through to let them know we were coming, but that didn't matter, they didn't make a huge deal out of 16 people showing up, they just got up and started getting tables together for us. Prompt drink service and refills constantly. Ordered the Potato Bacon soup w/ grilled cheese add on. It was a new version of soup, but cheesy and yummy. Perfect for a light lunch. Tyler our Server was great and patient with our orders, etc. Always a favorite campus corner location.
The chicken fried chicken sandwich made my husband say "it's so good it almost makes me want to cry". My C & R burger was delicious! While frequenting this establishment is great, when you just want to stay in for the night the fact that the food can be delivered to you is a plus. My only suggestion is to have order up let you allow to better customize menu items, for example minus the onions on the chili dog. But overall excellent meal, will order again!
We had a Surprise Birthday party for my parents this past Saturday with close to 80 people there and it was amazing. Couldn't have asked for more from the staff or from Jeff (the owner). They went above and beyond to make sure my parents felt special. Food was amazing also! Thanks O'CONNELLS!
One of my very favorite restaurants!! The burgers are incredible and oh MY are the onion rings the best in the world!! The service is always perfect and the owner is the nicest man ever.

Omg,omg. ...I had a bit of a rocky start with my first "order up " delivery from o'conells but then superhero manager Jeff found out and personally called me and himself redilivered and gifted me with some other awesome goodies and I am just in shock. I can not believe in this day of "customer is never right anymore" or "oh well" experiences, that Jeff cared enough to not only call but hand deliver and then make sure I was happy. The mushroom Swiss burger was in the top #3 of best ever and whoa baby on that chicken finger basket. I bought many more Groupon for o'conells after he left and plan to eat in and have delivery again soon. Thanks Jeff and I hope Tyler is feeling better :)

We always have to stop in when we are in town to relive the college memories. Great burgers and cold brews. Great place to gather to watch the game or to meet up with old friends.
The fried pickles and the frank were delicious. I ordered fish and chips and it was ok. Fish really greasy and fries weren't done. However burgers looked excellent. Will order that next time. Friendly, efficient service.

Love this place!. I went to O'Connell's for Karaoke Night on Wednesday, and I loved it. It was a great atmosphere along with low prices. I definitely will be back to O'Connell's.
Still O'Connels. As i have been a resident of norman since 1986 and frequented the original location on Lindsey. No it isn't the same on campus corner but hey what in life stays the same? Anyways 3 of us went in on a friday night ordered the onion rings which used to come on a stick and were great back then, These were okay but not great like they used to be (undercooked). The service was great my friends enjoyed their sandwiches a mixed crowd filled the place, we used a groupon coupon and everything was good. Normal prices for campus corner some places are less expensive but some are more so about average. Good crowd of young and old when we left so the tradition continues!
Good times on Campus Corner. I really enjoy coming to O'Connell's on Campus Corner. It has a relaxed, fun atmosphere, good food, and great drink specials. Plus their events are fun--karaoke and trivia nights are awesome and their random events like Mardi Gras are a good time. Plus it's easy to get a good view of the TV for game days. One of my go-to spots.

Fantastic Food!. This place has been in business since the 50"s so I figured it must be good and they sure are. Now granted sometimes the service might be a bit slow but if the sooners aren't playing you will probably be enjoying your meal in about ten minutes or less. But people who have had to wait for a bit or had bad service should remember that it is a college town and most of the wait staff are students and you obviously didn't ask to speak with the owner because I know for a fact that he will do what he can to make your experience a good one! I myself have not had a complaint but I do know a couple of people who have and the owner made it right and in my opinion that makes for a great experience
Now for the food. Mostly bar food with the exception of Wednesday and Friday when they serve chicken fry and homemade mashed potatoes smothered in gravy. The Irish medallions are great and so are the HUGE chicken fry, but my favorite is the wings!! I love love love the wing sauce! They have nachos, great onion rings (made fresh daily) and a very unique monty Cristo sandwich.
I am going to put this place on my wishlist because writing this review is making me hungry and I haven't been there in a while. And you never know who you might see there I myself have seen a rock star and a country and western singer and not to mention all of the football players and their coaches,!

Best place in Norman. I love O'Connell's. Best sports bar in Norman. We go there for all the games and they have good food, great prices.
Great atmosphere, great food, and even better drinks. If you have went to O.U. our are a Sooners fan you have to have gone to O'Connell's before.
Mixed Feelings. Finally made it to O'Connell's and on a Sunday afternoon, it was way too quiet. I think we would enjoy the hustle and bustle of a large crowd.
The chili was outstanding, among the best ever, but the burger was average and the fries were even less so. The burger menu was sure interesting though and quite extensive.
I thought it was too pricey for the offerings which might well keep me from going back. We much preferred it however to Eskimo Joe's in Stillwater.
Good burgers and decent beer specials, but avoid this place like the plague on weekend nights when it gets overrun by loud obnoxious frat guys.

College Daze. Loved this place since the day I stepped foot in Norman for college. Sure I couldn't drink but the food was pretty good for a bar.
Wings. The sweet glazed wings are the best wings I have ever had, also the blue cheese is also amazing.
Nostalgia. The cool kids apparently just call it O's. This is another place that I really shouldn't like, but I somehow do. Parking is problematic, especially at the original location. Waitstaff is never in a hurry to get anything done, but somehow they get a pass.
O'Connell's shines in atmosphere, though. Everyone seems to just love being there and it's infectious. Granted, it's generally fueled by their decent drink specials, and the quality of burgers doesn't hurt either - the meat is always tender and criminally juicy, and rests on a fresh, doughy bun with a near-perfect meat to bun ratio.
Don't let anyone lie to you, though, it's the ranch dressing that brings people back. Many Normanites swear they put narcotics in the ranch. Beware.
Protip: learn your server's name. If they don't offer it up, be sure to ask. You may have to send a search party if they're busy at all.
Really good. The burgers and fried pickles are so good. OU students get 20% off food if you show your id. i think you might have to mention this before you order. i have always had great service.
Good place.. Decent bar food, ok beer specials. Great shot list although they are expensive after a few. If you have money to burn on alcohol, one can have fun there. I also like the old location better than the campus corner one.

Lunch Crew is great!. Enjoy the Guac Burger for lunch with tasty fries. I only go for lunch, but the service is ALWAYS GOOD!
Very friendly and its "O'Connell's" which makes it even cooler. The old store is history, but the new location will continue that on.

Good burger and fries.... In my ongoing quest for to find the best burger in the OKC metro, on the tip from several people who said the NoName Ranch beef available at some of the region's finest purveyors of burgers was serverd here, I hit this venerable institution sitting across from Owen Field in Norman.
Burger is good. I got the half-pound char-grilled NoName with cheddar and bacon with a side of fresh cut fries. It's not the best in the metro... or even in Norman... but it's up there.
The patty was hand formed and spilled out of the toasted bun. Cheddar was shredded which is good because it melts better. Bacon was a little long in the tooth.
Fries were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside and hot which is how they should be.
There is a place near the OU campus (not this close though) which serves a better burger but not by much. It'd be hard to go wrong with this one. There are some other items on the menu which look intriguing. All of which is a compliment to what is really just a good old-fashioned and well-established college bar that happens to serve food.
No Name Burger. I hadn't eaten here in years, but had a no name burger recently. I was very impressed by the quality of the meat. The fries were a little too greasy, but the burger more than made up for it.
GREAT FOOD. This place has it all! Great food, cold beer, and a great staff.
