Lance and the crew were the BEST. I talked about it all evening. Just the best place ever. Its my new favorite place. Everyone there seemed genuinely happy to do their jobs and really take great care of the customers. Above and beyond. If they haven't had a recent pay raise, they deserve it. The people were the best. The food was great.
I would come here JUST for the delicious barbecue, that alone would make me love the place. However, not only do I always eat well, but the staff is always friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. They go the extra mile to get my food prepped on time and give it to me as fresh as possible. Never have I had an order wrong or an item forgotten! Can't speak highly enough of this place, not a bad item on the menu!

We had never been and the general manager was so excited to show us the menu, explain it all, offer us samples and gave great friendly customer service!! The food was great fresh and hot and the prices are good too! Will be back on Sunday's for kids eat free for sure!

Our first visit, but not our last! Food was great, service was friendly and attentive. We were just visiting from out of town but we now have a go to restaurant when we are in the area.

Best pulled pork, chopped brisket, and chicken sammiches i've had in a loooong time! Their spicy cheddar sausage can't even be contended with! I eat here as often as my bank account allows it lol. Their pecan pie is amazing as well!

I ordered catered ribs to be shared with family in NE Oklahoma. We had 1.5 racks of ribs, potato salad, green beans, rolls, and cole slaw sides. It was well wrapped and covered with a thermal blanket; it was still warm 3.5 hours later. My family loved the meal and I was gratified to know all my raving about this restaurant was justified. Thanks for the family feast we so enjoyed.
Ate at Dickey's BBQ for the first time this weekend and fell in love with the place. The food was excilent, and the service was great. Very friendly, and knowledgeable staff! My new favorite spot, and I will keep coming back for more!
My family & I just had Dickeys for the first time last weekend. We have lived in Norman going on 3 years now and we would always go to Vans pig stand for our BBQ needs. Not anymore. This place has GREAT food. My pickiest eater(6) who hates BBQ ate two plates full of everything we bought. In my experience, I haven't been able to find a place that had both good meats and good sides. Dickey's has great everything. We had 2 meats and 4 sides plus the rolls and everything we had was delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful also. I would highly recommend this place! We will most definitely be returning customers. Thank you for the great experience.
Ate at Dickeys BBQ in Norman Saturday evening,, and I loved it. Food was HOT, service was knowledgeable and friendly, and the appearance was neat and clean.
Decent BBQ Food. My verdict on this place is it's not bad really, but not even close to one of the best BBQ food I've ever had. I usually get the 1 meat plate or one of their Deal of the Day if it's on the day that has the sausage sandwich. I don't think I've tried their Spicy Cheddar Sausage but that's definitely on my list for the next time I go. The sides are generic and I usually end up with Green Beans w/ Bacon and Fried Okra. The green beans taste like they're from a can, but that doesn't really surprise me. Their fried okra is just as good as anywhere else's fried okra, so no complaints over there. The food is a little bit overpriced for what you get, but I don't mind if I come here just once in a while. The free ice cream cone does help justify coming here that often.
All around great food. Everything on the menu is good and fairly priced. My favorites are the ribs, turkey, or spicy cheddar sausage. The service is also excellent. You can't go wrong with this place. Hands down best BBQ is Norman.

I love eating dickeys in Dallas and love the fact they have them in Oklahoma.. came to the one here in Norman and its just like home.. got the 2 meat plate, ribs and spicy cheddar sausage with okra and baked potato casserole.. delicious!!!! Ribs fall right off the bone and the spicy cheddar sausage is off the chain!!!! Is recommend dickeys to anyone wants great barbecue..

Good Food, Great Service. I eat at Dickey's once or twice a week. I always get the ribs and chicken with the baked potato casserole and mac and cheese. The ribs are nice and tender, and I have seen the people who are cutting the meat throw them back on the pit if they are not ready. The chicken is smothered in the barbecue sauce, and it is awesome. The staff are always friendly, and they check to make sure my food was good and that I liked my meal.

Staff is friendly, if not a bit redneck. But hey, it's BBQ.
Go in and eat it there. Trust me. First, you get free ice cream when you go in. More importantly, they will TRY YOUR PATIENCE at the drive through. After EACH meal you order, they will interrupt you and ask if you want a drink, and before you say no, they will read the drink menu to you. This is annoying and rude on so many levels, but it gets worse when you are THEN asked if you want some "FRESHLY SLICED" pecan pie (does slice-timing really matter?). EVEN WORSE ---- they will ask you the same two questions after every meal you order! If you're ordering for 4 people at the drive through, you will be an angry redneck yourself by the time you get up there to pay.
OK, so go inside. Say yes to the drink. The chicken is very good, as is the brisket (usually). I don't like the turkey -- the flavor reminds me of what I imagine paint to taste like. The chopped brisket is fatty. I recommend the mashed potato casserole, fried potatoes, and caesar salad sides.
Sorta expensive compared to other BBQ places in town that have the same exact food and menu other than they have free ice cream. I would say the staff is nicer too.

Great food & Service. This place has great bbq and I love how the workers come out to talk to me after I've eaten. I've been going here for a while now, and I'd rather eat at dickies than any other bbq joints.
Quality food, DEEEElicious. Order at the counter, they bring your food. Very friendly, welcoming staff. I ordered the pulled pork dinner, VERY delicious. Clean. Low noise level. Had the apparently obligatory T.V. (This is Norman/OU territory). I got seasoned mashed potatoes and freshly fried onion strands for a side; Again VERY delicious. The dinner roll was suprisingly tastey and it's texture was really good. Self serve drinks in a generous sized, hard plastic cup; great for a refill for the road. A wee bit pricey for a medium service restaurant. But, I will be back!

Always a Great Experience. I was surprised to see their rating is so low (50%). Every time we've been to Dickey's, the staff has been very nice, and the food has been great. I don't remember one time when the food (or staff) has been disappointing.
If we dine-in my husband gets brisket and some sort of sausage plate, I get a pulled pork sandwich plate, and my daughter gets chicken nuggets (which appear to be from Tyson's) and macaroni and cheese. *I* wouldn't want Tyson's chicken nuggets, but she's a kid and it makes her happy. My husband will also get a pickle (none for me, but thanks for offering!), and my daughter and husband will each get an ice cream cone. The pickles and ice cream are complimentary.
When we take-out, we get a family meal with pulled pork & brisket. It comes with three sides siix rolls, and a big container of BBQ sauce. And even though it is take-out, the staff still encourages us to take advantage of the free pickles and ice cream. :-) There is another family meal available with three meats, but two is plenty for us to eat several times.
We've been there more than a few times. We grabbed it for lunch the other day while my parents were in town (and they commented that it smelled like the old Underwood's restaurant in Lawton). We know family friends who go there, and even found out our Optometrist takes his family there (daughter mentioned where we were having dinner). Everyone we've spoken to about it enjoys it. I highly recommend giving it a try!

It's not your slow smoked backyard barbecue, but is pretty good. It's more like really good fast food barbecue. Kinda like comparing mcD burgers to other burgers... Apples and oranges. They're eager to please! Even sent us a discount by email for a positive review we gave when we called the number on the receipt. Carried our food to the table since my hands were full carrying a baby. Sides are good too! Give em a chance. You'll probably enjoy it.
Roxie. I've been a customer at the Norman location, since week one, and have always had a good experience - whether with my meal or the friendly staff.
Although with the bad reviews, for my order tonight. I thought it was pretty good with the portion sizes, and sides & drinks. I ordered thru Uber eats. And you guys ran out of the Mac & Cheese which I was a tad bit disappointed in. But also I didn’t realize you close at 9 so you could of just ran out of inventory. But you guys sub the side for the chili brisket & that sh** was fire 🔥. Long & behold I was please with the 2 for $24. The food was seasoned well, sides was good. I just really wanted to try the Mac & Cheese but next time I will.
My recent experience at dickeys ,is always the best ribs, the meat falls of the bone it's always tender and very good never have had a bad food from them and I've been going there for 11yrs ,and the employees and the manager r very nice people to ,and thank u dickeys for the best barbecue ribs and everything else u guys sale ,have a blessed day 💛
I got the two meat plater, with brisket and burnt brisket ends. I definitely suggest the burnt ends over the brisket slices. The fries were fresh and great. The potato salad I wasn't a fan of. They provide complimentary soft serve ice cream which was awesome.
