One of the best restaurants in the Charleston area. The food is amazing, and staff the best. The owner is ex military and always super friendly. My wife and I have made this place a regular for us.

Probably my favorite place to eat in the Charleston area. That says a lot, because Charleston is an amazing food city. You have try the Fried Shrimp, amazing. The Fried green tomatoes are the best I’ve had since I moved here. The Gator bite, Crayfish, and Flounder are also great. The staff is as good as the food. You have to eat here!

New Orleans is hands down my favorite city in America simply for the dining experience. Be it a 5 Star or hole in the wall, NO has the best food in the country. That said, LoLa is easily the closest to NO food I’ve had outside of Louisiana. This became my favorite eatery in Chas after my first visit. The food is beyond fantastic and the staff if wat beyond normal customer service. I can’t say enough about this establishment other than they have a huge fan in me!

This place is awesome! Great service, great food, and great atmosphere! Will definitely return! Had the gumbo and etouffee. Both came with cornbread; which I normally don’t like, that was out of this world. Glad the Hampton recommended LoLa.

This was without a doubt the best Cajun food I have eaten outside of New Orleans. It is my new favorite Cajun Restuarant.

Our server, Karina was excellent. Helpful, prompt, diligent and fun. The food, Red fish with dirty rice and collard greens was flavorful, fresh and made us want to come back.

The owner is very personable. The food and drinks are amazing! The only place in Charleston where I can get an Abita!

The food and service were great. Never had Crawfish Mac and Cheese before is was very flavorful . The Praline Pecan Cornbread was absolutely scrumptious. The portion sizes were very generous. My wife and I will definitely be back the next time we are in Charleston.

We went on a Friday evening early and the place was packed. We opted to wait for an inside table because it was chilly outside. While waiting for our table we walked around the neighborhood. The duck fries were superb and a meal in themselves. The corn and crab chowder was way too thin to be called chowder. The cornbread was yummy. We had to get our crawfish etouffe to go because we didn’t realize how large a plate the duck fries were. The etouffe was okay (born and raised in Louisiana so I’m picky). The fried green tomatoes were good.

Great food, super nice servers, great location. It is super hot here (feels like 100) but their outdoor area had plenty of fans. The food was fantastic. We enjoyed the duck fries, seafood baskets and split some beignets with the kids. The Hurricane was strong (in the best way). Highly recommend! Oh, and get the cornbread!

I’ve been here a couple times and have yet to see or taste anything bad. Love the vibe of the place and the authenticity. The worst part about this place is that it’s hard to narrow down what you want because everything looks so appetizing. But do yourself a favor and don’t leave without ordering the shrimp risotto cake app! And an Abita if you’re a beer person

Lowcountry meet Louisiana cuisine in a laid back atmosphere. Staff was friendly and helpful. I will be back to enjoy the Po'boy that was overflowing with delicious shrimp. The batter was flavorful and stuck to the shrimp. Portions were generous. I will be back with friends!

My husband and in-laws and I ate here in November the weekend of my best friend’s wedding. It was amazing! The food, the atmosphere, and the service. We had just about every appetizer because my father in love loved oysters and just eating good food in general. I think this place will be special to me from now on because it was the last place where we went out together had good food and enjoyed him before he passed away a week later! Thank you Lola’s for that special memory. We had 2 orders of the gator bites, pork belly loin, 2 orders of the shrimp and crawfish Etouffee , 4 orders of the oysters, and 2 orders of the jambalaya!!!! That was just our appetizers and it was only five of us. Then we all ordered food, it was funny because the waitress thought we were good with our appetizers and we ended up calling her back to order food! lol food was amazing and hot. Will definitely be coming here again!

Oh. My. Goodness. What a fabulous meal. We started out with fried green tomatoes , topped with creole sauce and pepper jack cheese and a side of remoulade. We also had beignets (it was my bday). They were warm and yeasty and covered in powdered sugar. On to the main meal. Husband had fried shrimp basket with sweet potato fries and I had an oyster po boy, loaded with oysters, lettuce and tomatoes with a remoulade sauce drizzled on top. Also had sweet potatoe fries. Our server, Bree, was great. We opted to sit outside on the first day of Autumn. Good choice. Let me tell y'all . We brought home more food than we ate. Portions are generous. Husband had a local craft beer, which he really enjoyed. I cannot wait to go back. The Jambalaya and etouffée are calling me.

Allow me to introduce y’all to LoLA, and Cajun/Creole gem located in North Charleston. These folks have Louisiana food down to a science. It translates so well here since many of our dishes contain the same or similar ingredients. I love experiences how their food varies and the phenomenal flavors they produce. They carry amazing soul-food dishes and seafood as well all in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that makes you feel like family. The drinks are on-point as well and you can enjoy them inside, or on the full patio and soak up the outdoors. I got to have amazing fried shrimp and cornbread with fries. The attention to the breading was evident and the texture was excellent. The bacon wrapped scallops were so good it felt like I was getting away with a crime. They were so succulent and juicy without being over cooked or chewy. The people here know how to cook and it shows in their amazing food. Also Scott was an amazing server and he did not miss a beat.

June 29, 2023 - My first time here ever despite my several visits to Charleston for work. I had their low country shrimp and grits! I love grits and was blown away by the taste of this version of LoLA's! It's not very greasy tasting as I thought it would because of the bacon added in it. It's downright tasty and truly gave a distinct feel of southern cooking.
