This is the first decent English style fish & chips I have had sent leaving Canada 30 years ago. Finally a place that servers Fish & Chips the way it was intended to be. Handcut chips, and nice big portions of Cod fish battered and fried to perfection. It is a must place for fish & chip lovers. In the months since I have visited many times with friends and family, I have had combos of shrimp & fish, even tried the chicken too. Can't go wrong with any choice. This is store the best in the area by far.

Ordered food at the counter. They used to have a locqtion off Tamiami, but that closed about 2 weeks ago. Still, this location is just as good if further away. What makes this place rock is the batter they put on the fish. Its identical to that in the British Isles...thicker and crispy. Their chips (fries) are authentic too. Be warned...the "king" portion is very large!

The fish and chips taste so good. It’s hand battered & whatever they do with the batter is amazing. I loved the food & the atmosphere is very casual which is perfect for a stop for a bite after a long day.

Best fish and chips in SWF, bar none! John and crew have nailed it... crispy batter without the heaviness, excellent creamy slaw, and thick-crispy chips. Add a Guinness and you've got a slice of Heaven right here on Earth...

A big thanks to OK UK for hosting our British American Club of SWF group get together. Food was wonderful as always , freshly cooked to order . Everyone enjoyed whatever they ordered not one complaint from a group of twenty six people. Well done to John and his staff.

I am crazy for their delicious french fries! We've been here a few times; it never disappoints. I've tried many of the menu items (though I'm not a fan of cold slaw) and loved everything. The shrimp are large & succulent, the fish is cooked to flaky perfection & the chicken is tender & juicy. The baked beans are very tasty as well & they even have smashed peas!🤗 The staff is amazing & friendly! We'd only been there once, but the lady who helped us that very 1st time remember us during subsequent visits. It's a cozy quiet place & I found the small dining area relaxing. Really reminds me of some of the independent fish & chip joints back home on the Oregon coast🥰

Delicious British style fish + chips! Lightly battered and deep fried with fresh cut chips. However, it lacked been served with a must portion of mushy peas

Absolutely fantastic British style fish n Chips along with a chicken tender. Great flavor. Fried golden brown and can taste the beer in the batter. Chips (fries) are fresh cut and delicious. Add on the great roll, butter and cole slaw and you have a great combo meal! I highly recommend this hidden gem on N. Cleveland ave before McDonalds and next to Papa John’s. Owner was present and hands on doing the cooking.

I have dined in twice at this restaurant and taken out several times. It is quite good, on par with the fish and chips we got in a newspaper when I was growing up in Australia. The people at this restaurant are very nice. No one ever seems to be in a bad mood. They are actually especially kind and welcoming. The ladies that run the place treat you as though you belong there. You never feel awkward. The food is absolutely delicious. I do love the malt on my fish so be sure to ask for a couple portions if you're taking it home because the containers are fairly small. The place is fairly popular and fills up with people who are nice and friendly to even strangers. They will yell across the room to you to talk to you. It's a little oddity that I thought was from Australia. Nobody feels they have two stick to their own table. They can say anything they want to anyone and it's always something nice. I've never heard a mean thing said there. It's always friendly and welcoming. I think it's a group that's been going there for a long time but they don't distinguish between old and new people. They are friendly to everyone. You just have to look up and catch their eye and they will definitely talk to you. The place is not fancy but it does the job and it is comfortable to eat there. You can also take things home and that's comfortable also. The food is very light and flaky. The fish is delicious. I would highly recommend this place. You can also get drinks including beer I believe. I think the joy of this place is that it is so friendly and the food is good. It makes people want to get out if they've been locked in at home for a while. Give her a try you mug. Tricky to get to because it's back in a mall which is not easily accessible from certain locations. Don't give up, it's worth it.
