Go to this location frequently and it's always good! Price is more around $20 for two people if you get baskets or plates. They even worked with us on a small catering order for our wedding. They're closed on Sunday's normally but allowed us to pick up our food the day before so we just had to heat and eat. It still tastes so fresh and good!
Well, it's barbecue and all that goes with that. In the past, I would always get a 3 meat platter so I could try as many cuts as possible. And then walk out bloated for the rest of the day... No more doing that! I've taken on a love for smoked chicken, so as I visit various barbecue joints in the area, that will probably be my first test dish. And then I'll move to other meats as I go. With that in mind, I had the smoked chicken basket which comes with fries at the very reasonable price of $6.99. The taste possessed the requisite smoky flavor and was excellent, though perhaps a bit dry overall, so guessing this isn't one of their strength areas. The fries were hot and flavorful, nicely sliced potatoes but not too soggy. I dipped the fries into the BBQ sauce so I could try it. The sauce itself is a bit thin and lacks distinction. I'm a firm believer that sauce is unnecessary at a great barbecue joint, though it can be a great enhancer if they so choose. To my tastes, it seems an afterthought at Riscky's. Overall, a place I look forward to trying over and over, each with a different meat and side(s).
Not Too Shabby. A buddy of mine has kept telling me about their 6 for 5$ special they have going on. So today I tried it. Very good deal for the price. The sandwhiches are good size. After two I was stuffed. BBQ has a good smokey taste. If i had to nitpick Id say they could've given me bbq sauce. Overall very good. I was satisfied. I'll be back again
GOT A GREAT DEAL ON CHOPPED BEEF SANDWICHES. These are some of the old timers in the bbq world of DFW...this little outpost of smoke is very good. they got the idea that beef brisket should be juicy and smokey...not like your mother's day old roast...try them and enjoy...4 links of 5
Got the brisket plate with double green beans and potato salad. Not a fan of the salad. Was mixed with relish and pimentos and it was just too tangy even for me. The green beans were from a can so ........the brisket was nice and tender. The fat was delicious and melted in with the meat. Good grub ðŸ¤

Unlimited Ribs at 14 dollar. No better deal in DFW. Do visit the Stockyard branch if possible. Taste wise stockyard Risckys was better
The big sign out front that said 4 beef brisket sandwiches for $5 sounded like a pretty good deal. The sandwiches were really tasty. The sandwiches were on hamburger buns, not Texas toast. The only thing the sandwiches had on them was the beef and barbecue sauce. It would have been nice if they put some slices of pickles on them. But for the price paid, it was well worth it.
Really good food. Really good staff. We were there for our friend's last meal in the US for a year. They were super friendly and honest.
I come here a lot and have never had one bad thing to say. The food is the Bomb and the staff is even better. But what really did it was this new girl Kristin. She worked drive thru and was very busy running for her self and also helping out the front but even with her being so busy she took the time and had the perfect energy to help each person that showed up at her window. She will definitely be the reason why I come back. I feel she will make it far thank you Riscky’s for having such an awesome team member
This is another place you look at and wonder, who would go there. I was in a pinch one day and needed to get something close and quick. I got one of the beef sandwiches and I was pleasantly surprised
The sandwich was good as was the drink. They put the sauce on the side but my preference is on the sandwich
