Espresso is decent, played it safe and didn't go very acidic. The interior is a little flat and plain but there's decent seating and nice Windows. Oh and they kept the kids corner!
This is a great place to hang out with little kids. They have really put thought into making it welcoming for the kiddos; toys, coloring, games all in a little corner where they can play while their parents sip on coffee and munch sandwiches nearby. They even remembered to have two stepping stools in the bathroom; one for the sink and one for the hand dryer! Coffee good. Food decent.
Was driving through town on way home and was looking for a spot for a quick bite. What a lovely surprise! Kind staff, wonderful food, amazing desserts and beautiful decor. Even brought home cupcakes for our children. Wish we lived closer, it would be a place we would go to over and over again!!! A true gem!
Great brunch/lunch options. Love that its baby/kid friendly. Love the use and support of local products. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the changing table in the bathroom is very high. I had to use the step stool to change my son and it didn't feel very safe to carry him up and down.
I was heart broken (a bit) when Cup and Top closed! But I'm very happy with the replacement! Awesome customer service is one of my favorite things in the world and this place has it! I was also extremely grateful that they kept the baker (although she is out at the moment)! Wonderful place to have a light snack and cup of something hot.
This is a very cute cafe if you're looking to have a coffee and a nice little play area for kids. Their quiche was pretty good, and the other items on the menu looked good too. Probably would choose somewhere else for a breakfast/lunch outing with friends, because it's just counter service. Would be good to do some reading or work/studying.
Friendly staff, creative coffee offerings, separate family section, and many gluten-free bakery choices. Closest parking had a one hour limit, so I did not have an opportunity to evaluate an extended visit. Would visit again to sample from their extensive food menu.
I didn’t know what to expect when I decided to meet up for lunch with a friend who had been here and ordered the quiche which was ready quickly and encouraged me on my decision to go with the ten dollar tuna. We were both so busy talking (and she had finished her quiche by the time I sat down because it was good and she was hungry)to notice that my sandwich had never been made. My friend was just about to leave when I had to remind the staff that they never made my order that I had paid for and now could they just make it to go? They seemed confused instead of giving me an unbridled apology but did understand and I took that tuna sandwich on what seemed like a French baguette home and it was a delicious masterpiece. I would love to enjoy that sandwich again, thank you.
With one day notice and never being here before, I ordered an entire carrot cake. My husband is a connoisseur of carrot cake. The owner explained to me that the recipe is over 100 years old and was made many times during the deppression. I loved that this carrot cake came with a story since it was actually going to be used as a birthday cake for my husband.
It is the best carrot cake we have ever had. The ratio of cream cheese frosting to cake is perfect and it is so moist. The raisins were nice and plump and the toasted coconut on top made it a total masterpiece.
On the three different occasions I have ordered a latte. Made to order of course with just a bit of pumpkin syrup. Its nice, strong , smooth; sometimes with a strong expresso you get a burnt aftertaste, not here.
The service is always perfect, with a smile and appreciation for you being a customer. Even during the times I've been in 5 minutes before closing.
The folks at Freckled Fox are lovely, community-minded people. They bake incredibly good Gluten Free cookies (in addition to their traditional, excellent goodies). It's also a great place for lunch!
Had a free morning waiting for my wife. Stopped here.
Bought a coffee and eggs. The meal was delicious and coffee was perfect. Read a book. Other patrons came in, ate, drank and chatted. A lovely atmosphere.
Nice location. Good coffee. Great selection of pastry and other foods that I did not have time to try. Looking forward to going back and exploring the menu more.
Great food (sandwich, soup, coffee, dessert) and service. Very friendly staff and decor is inviting. Family corner for young children. We will definitely visit again soon.
Freckled Fox Cafe is one of the best sit down coffee shops we have been to, we're in our 70s, remember "Chock Full of Nuts', the first coffee shop?. The pasteries are excellent, easy wheelchair access, wonderful interested people that run the business.... The coffee, yes it's excellent too.
Very cute place. Well decorated with friendly staff. The food is nice and simple without a lot of extra grease or salt. Very pleasant experience.
We in the Valley have poo-pooed any place that tried to take the place of Cup 'N Top, but this place has heart, care for the kiddies, and lots of gluten free options. Check it out. Foxes don't bite.
A great sandwich and the best carrot cake I ever had! The Dandy Mandy panini was yummy.
