Thank you Ron of Japan Northbrook for taking such good care of us all these years! For nearly 18 years I have brought my wife and our family (now 3 daughters) here for birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine's Days, other special occasions and more. Tonight's service ranked among the best, was exceptional and once again memorable for all of us. Sarah like I said to you following our delicious dinner, Greg's "mise en place" attention to detail and anticipation of needs truly exceeded our expectations! All while training a new server. Went to Rons last week and it was as good as it gets for tableside Japanese food. 1st off, the drinks are generous, so I always stop at the bar. Dinner was amazing. The sushi is outstanding and as good as it gets. I recommend the Sumo Crab. It is huge! I had Showgun dinner. Lobster Tail with egg sauce and perfectly cooked filet. Comes with veggies and plain or brown rice, but I always upgrade to fried rice (with a little egg sauce on request). 2 of my party ordered the Shrimp with egg sauce, and the 4th ordered fish. I think it was grouper. Excellent and fresh! Will head back there in the New Year! PS - The Super Mai Tais are better than Bob Chins!
I have been coming to Ron of Japan for 30+ years and it is truly a one of a kind restaurant! The food is impeccable and the staff is always so amazing. This is by far my favorite hibachi restaurant in the Chicagoland area., and to be honest it's my favorite restaurant in IL. I'm also obsessed with their egg sauce, it's a must to try! So delicious.
My first time there and i had a wonderful experience. The food was to die for, very delicious. The staff were also very good.
Going on 22 years now and still love coming here for dinner. Great staff and a fun experience every time we come here for dinner. Absolutely love the salad dressing.....
The best restaurant in the world. Don't go anywhere but here for Japanese food. Anyone who dislikes Ron of Japan does not know what they are talking about
It was our first time and we were pleasantly surprised. We expected the experience to be fun but not necessarily the food. We were thoroughly impressed with both the chef who made our meal and how delicious everything was. If I went back I would order vegetable fried rice instead of the beef fried rice that came with what I ordered. Restaurant was extremely accommodating of our ice cream cake that we brought in. They do up the birthday cheer, which was perfect for our teenager.

Fun time and great experience....lobster tail with their famous butter sauce is the absolute best!
