Been here about a million times over the past 20 years-- consistently good quintessential Northfield experience. Homemade food, reasonably priced, and atmosphere in spades. The upstairs lounge is the best little pub with deck in town and boasts THE best happy hour. I very occasionally venture out to the other offerings, but always come back to the Lounge. Our own little Cheers.
Amazing food and service. I Highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner it's one of a kind! Also good prices & kid friendly!

Was in town for doctor appointment and I found this place on division st. I was really impressed by the service and food. Not only was it amazingly good but it didn’t drain my wallet. I felt like the portions were perfect and I really like how friendly the staff was. You can tell that they liked there job and wanted to be at work. I was well taken care of and left happy with a full belly. It was a great start to the rest of my day! Thanks!
Yummy and a really neat entrance!!!! You come in to a hobbit hole then go into the main space. The breakfast was really good. Very good service too will be back to the tavern next time I am in town

Went here for a date night our server was so nice and the food was amazing. Nice pleasant atmosphere with the stain glass windows.
The Tavern Lounge is amazing. It’s a gem in the back of the Archer House facing the Cannon River. Small inside bar with a walk out deck overlooking the Cannon River. You can order appetizers from the kitchen and get any drink you like right at the bar. Food and drink are great with a friendly staff. Sometimes they have live music in a corner of the bar. Wonderful place to unwind in the summer and meet friends.
Great quality food at amazingly affordable prices! Pictured is the Tavern Special. 2 large eggs, hash browns, choice of meat, and toast for $5 (I added an extra egg)!!!! It is delicious, perfectly cooked, and it is a plentiful portion. I’ll come here again when I visit the area
Great soups, breads, and entrees, though the steaks have historically been hit or miss for me. Cosy atmosphere, but fills up very quickly at dinnertime, and waiters can be a little absent minded when it's a full house. Desserts and malts should definitely be shared.

Great homemade food with a wide variety to please everyone. The homemade soup is amazing, and the split pea is the best I have ever eaten!
Good food. Cooked as ordered. Outdoor area closed even though it's a beautiful day. Half price on whole bottles of wine. Bison burgers were yummy.
Really great breakfast spot in Northfield. Dining area is a little small, but has such a unique character. Service was fast and friendly, and the food was delicious. Very large portions as well for a reasonable price.
Came here for breakfast and dinner. Its perfect for both groups and solo diners, and the food is pretty good, especially the bread and pasta dishes.
