Reviews City Buffet

I usually go to either of the three dollar a scoop places for lunch in my area. I would order their lunch special with a large egg drop soup and crunchy noodles and the bill comes up to about 10 bucks. I originally had a bad experience with this place 6 months ago due to old tasting food and haven't been back. But today I gave it another chance because it actually costs about the same as the dollar a scoop places anymore. No drinks for lunch is 7 bucks and with drinks it's 9 bucks. My bill came out to $10.36. And they completely renovated the place. I was worried at first because I'm a big guy and booths are not my thing. They only have booths now. But it had a lot of room so they really thought this out. And I was comfortable sitting down with lots of clearance. The food was a lot better today. Variety is minimal when it comes to the Chinese food offerings but it's nice to taste everything rather than choose two sides like in the dollar places. Bottom line. It costs just as much to eat inside here than to take out food from the dollar places anymore. The food is decent. The egg drop soup and the hot sour is just okay. But I got my money's worth for sure. I really thought they were going under after my last experience. But I'm glad I gave them another shot. Their biggest thing is the Mongolian Barbecue where a chef cooks it in front of you after picking out what you want cooked. Overall I will be coming back. And it seems you can take out from here too. They do it by the pound so if you're selective you can really come out ahead here.

Small selection, but the food is great! Always hot and fresh, good service, and very clean. It's under new management so don't let the older reviews fool you.
