This is my favorite Connecticut diner. I love Penny's. The Yankee bean soup and the split pea soup are both delicious. Moreover this diner isn't overpriced like some of the other Connecticut diners. Great diner. My favorite waiter is Nantu.
Fish and Chips were good. French fries were great. Root beer was flat but tasted okay. French dip sandwich was tasty and plentiful. It was awkwardly near empty @ approximately 2 p.m.
A really really good diner close to I 95 in the heart of East Norwalk. A full diner menu. The omelette was expertly prepared, the hashbrowns were tasty, and the coffee strong. The roast turkey sandwich had great turkey and fresh bread. The desserts look great, although we couldn’t buy them due to the calorie count of the day. But will be back for some of that lemon meringue pie. You should try some to
This was our 1st visit after reading reviews online.
The diner was very clean and the decor was very nice. It was located near the hotel we stayed at and it was very convenient to I-95.
I had meatloaf that had 4 generous pieces, mashed potatoes with gravey and fresh zucchini, chicken soup and a piece of bread. Surely thats alot of food for a very reasonable price.
The husband had a Reuben piled high with meat and sauerkraut and a quantity of french fries.
Our waiter could not be any friendlier and very efficient.
Prices overall were very reasonable.
Should you go you wont forget the experience and excellent food.
I would have been more comfortable had there been more ppl dining there on a friday night 6pm.
Fine- only had Texas Toast French Toast & 2 eggs over easy. All was fine.
Good food at decent prices. Friendly foreign waitstaff. Clean bathrooms. Ample parking in the rear. Cozy booths. The Norwalk Libertarian Town Committee chose the Penny's III Diner for its first gathering.
