Super friendly staff. Crab cakes are some of the best that I have ever eaten. I have eaten there many times for both lunch and dinner and every meal has been excellent. Would highly recommend the Wild owl Cafe

Only the best place to dine and enjoy a modern, upbeat atmosphere in greater Norwich. Sure, there's like one other great place to eat in town... But it's not on the main drag, and honestly a little too upscale for a quick lunch bite in my opinion.
The Wild Owl breaks from convention and serves as a hub to rub elbows and break bread with some of the better folks from town without feeling like you should have worn a tie—and more importantly, without emptying out your wallet!
The flair of European hospitality and culinary twist seared with American comfort are what make this place shine. In my many meals here, Owl staff—from the kitchen help to the owners and hosts—are consistently friendly, inviting and always smiling.
I have to make a consious effort not to dine at the Owl as often as I like so as not to grow complacent, but the menu rotation insures that even if I visited more than I should I could find something satisfying.
Truly a hidden gem along the Route 12 corridor, give it a try! You'll be back!
I went for the first time last weekend for lunch. I had the Rueben sandwich. It was not a greasy sloppy mess. It was not dry. It was perfection, as were the what seemed to be homemade chips on the plate. My dining partner and I ate in a nice relaxed atmosphere that afforded us the time for long conversation. I must say we received the best service I have had in town, only matched by the nice people at Becky's Diner.
Fantastic customer service... If you have not been to the wild owl cafe, I strongly recommend you visit here! The food was excellent! I will return!

I live an hour away but would definitley return specifically to come to this restaurant.
My wife got the White Owl mac n cheese. She liked that. I got the Duck Confit. It was something I have never had before. It was ok, but seemed a little expensive for what I got. Place was clean. Waitress was friendly.
The cafe is a small beautifully furnished place with excellent staff and great food. Wife and I were promptly greeted and seated, and a waitress was there to serve us within seconds of sitting. Waitress was new but still knowledgeable of the menu and drinks in tap! I ordered a chicken caesar wrap, and wife ordered bacon cheddar mac and cheese. We shared a tossed salad. Salad was bright and fresh with homemade ranch dressing, and our food came in a reasonable time. Bith plates were plated beautifully and tasted excellent!. 10/10 will come back and recommend to anyone in the area to check out!
DELISH!!!!!! So happy my husband and I stopped in for lunch today. The space is beautiful and clean. The food was amazing. Pictures are the fries with Buffalo sauce and blue cheese 🤤🤤🤤

There are many diverse options on the menu and a good mix of different salads.
Our waiter was prompt, helpful, and friendly.

Great Mac and cheese. Pasta texture perfect, great accent with the green onions. Overall they are not quite managing the bistro experience to what you would get in a bigger city, but I appreciate the effort and happy to have the option.

Great place with great food. The staff were very friendly and happy to recommend places to visit in the town. They have a small but good selection of craft beers, and I do appreciate the classic rock being played in the background. I'd recommend eating here when you visit Norwich.
When I come to Norwich to see my mom at the Veterans home I like to go to the wild owl.
Tonight I had an amazing meal. Everything is always fresh and delicious. Simply outstanding. And the staff is always so pleasant. If you're in Norwich you must stop and have a bite to eat.
Great customer service, and the food is impressive! Very good beers also, they had several IPAs to choose from as well as ales and lagers. Edit: I had the Salmon entree and it was very good, with a great presentation.
