I am so impressed by their very extensive menu. It’s clear that a lot of passion has gone into this restaurant. They still have some things to iron out. The meal began with maybe a ten minute explanation of everything they had that was not on the menu- it all sounded great but was really hard to remember and would have been nice to be able to read/reference when narrowing down choices on this very extensive menu! We ordered the shrimp sausage summer rolls, dumpling soup, soft shell crab, and the pressed vermicelli bun. They were all great though there were some issues with orders not being sent to the kitchen. The people working there couldn’t be more helpful/friendly. I will absolutely be back here (even though it’s an hour drive … I want to come back and try other dishes!) and I’ll update my review after trip two. Major five star potential, just not there *quite* yet.
The absolute best Vietnamese food in Rockland County. Bar none. You won't find better Pho anywhere else. I recommend trying the summer rolls as well, and the vietnamese fajitas with the chicken.
Good place to go when missing home. I'm Vietnamese and my family lives in Florida so I don't get good Vietnamese food unless I go home and with covid that's not happening for a long time.
The tamarind chicken soup is exactly like the hot and sour soup my mom makes. Good balance of sour and sweet from tamarind and pineapple, with fresh herbal notes from celery and beansprouts.
The claypot basa (similar to catfish) was also well seasoned. The caramel sauce was umami forward with black pepper accents. They put onions which my family also does too but I rarely see in restaurants, adds a nice texture and sweetness.
For egg rolls, I really like the taro. My aunt was the only person I knew that added taro to the egg rolls, but recently she changed over to malangal (like taro flavor times 10). So closest egg rolls to my aunties. They are a bit skinny, could use more filling, but I understand food costs, so not a big deal.
Banh Xiao had way less filling then what we did at home, and didn't have the mung beans. But the crepe exterior was beautifully crunchy...that part was better then then my family's (they don't read my reviews, so I can be honest lol).
Happy they had dessert, always love che, which is the rainbow jelly dessert. Very few Vietnamese restaurants offer that, usually have to find a sandwich shop or bakery for that.
All in all good experience and food for fair price. Definitely will return.
The food was very good. The mango sticky rice is my favorite. We'll definitely be back to try the other stuff in the menu.
One of my Favourite Vietnamese restaurants. I have been dining with them since they were Vietnamese Grill in Spring Valley NY and once they expanded to a much larger place now it is still the amazing, wonderful and Delicious Vietnamese food made with lots of love. The staff is amazing as always and are pretty much like family and make you feel like family. Definitely one of my favourites and go to for sure.
The best, most authentic Vietnamese food I’ve had. Was truly sad my work moved me- I will miss this spot. Everything was perfect- service food clean aesthetics price… definitely5 stars!
I used to go to this place frequently back when they were at the much smaller location. I've been back to their new location twice now and they really are still a great restaurant. They have some of the best pho around, and the veitnamese fajita is my favorite appetizer. I like that they've started labeling what is gluten free and what isn't on the menu. The outdoor seating is also a plus.
