Don’t let the prices on the wall menu fool you. This small restaurant turns out quick, delicious. And huge portions. Mexican shrimp cocktail and other seafood items are its specialty. Their burritos , either regular or wet are huge. The salsa bar with the slices radish is a nice touch.

Excellent food and lovely owners. I would highly recommend a stop when in the area. Oh, and the Cadillac margarita was yummy. Salsa was spicy just the way I like it and the chips were warm and Delilah.

Wow, a great food experience. Very tasty food, the right spices and authentic. I had a Agave Burrito. It was huge. I took a picture of the half I did not eat. My wife ordered the chicken tortilla soup and it was excellent. I have great refried beans also.

My favorite BBQ joint next door was closed, so I popped into Agave on my way to the ferry. Service was fast and everything was delicious. I had one carne asada taco, one carnitas taco and a ceviche tostada, plus a side of beans. I didn't really need the beans but they were super yummy. My only complaint is that they don't offer a taco plate. They have other delicious plates, but tacos are all a la carte. Not a big deal, really. But I would have loved to have been able to order 2 or 3 tacos with rice and beans. A la carte with rice and bean sides is more expensive than most of their plates. Still, I'll definitely go back because it was all yummy. The ceviche was very fresh.

I have always had great food and very friendly and fast service! I really like the carne asada, the pastor tacos are really great too! I find it to be quite reasonably priced as well. Be warned, the salsa is tasty but a bit on the hot side.

Small, cozy, non-fancy place that has some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. I actually don't eat Mexican out as its usually greasy and salty. Not here... all food is fresh, authentic and bursting with flavor. The salsa is amazing and we had like 4 bowls. Wet veggie burrito was excellent and we took two home. Very friendly staff.

Quiet little place with deliciously-made food at a great price. Complimentary chips and salsa appetizer every time. Ive had wonderful, welcoming service each time. The food comes out fast and hot. This is the best spot for a quick Mexican cuisine eat. Highly recommended.

Everything tasted very fresh (including the salsa and guacamole) and we ordered for takeout, our order being ready in half the time the website said! I got the chorizo soft tacos which were delicious, and the horchata which was perfect and not too watered down. I'm gluten sensitive but everything I'm usually concerned about was made of corn instead of flour which just made the meal that much better! The woman who got our order for us was also very sweet, we'll definitely be coming back!

I ordered takeout here last night. I got the wet veggie burrito, a side of beans, and a side of rice, all for $21.74. This was an amazing deal for the amount of food I received! I got a humongous, delicious burrito, a whole plate of beans, a whole plate of rice, and even a complimentary bag of chips and salsa! There is no wonder why this place has been in business for so long! I made my food last for two meals, but I could have (and probably should have haha) made it into 3 meals! Sorry, I ate half the burrito before taking the picture, I was hungry, and it was SO good! There is a wide variety of veggies in this burrito! It is hard to believe it was actually kind of healthy, and still so delicious! The service was really quick too! I absolutely will be back, and highly recommend this place! Edit: I have gone back 2 more times since this first review. My burrito hasn't been as good as the first. There were hardly any vegetables in the burrito the second time, but I figured I would just ask for extra veggies the next time I ordered. Well, I asked for extra veggies, and I'd hate to see what it would look like if I didn't ask! There were hardly any veggies in the 3rd burrito! The side of rice and beans has been combined onto one plate, instead of two separate plates like the first time. It's such a bummer! I was really excited about this place, but now I'm not so sure.

Being vegetarians, its usually very hard to find a restaurant serving delicious food suiting your taste pallets. This mexican restaurant was our saviour when we visited whidbey island. The portions are large and the food is super delicious. The lady at the counter was so polite and helpful. The chips and salsa come complimentary. We had a great time finishing the whole wheat quesadillas and loaded cheese and veggie nachos!

Great food. Bit pricey though and I always hate going to a place and see that they obviously use tape for the price increase. Besides that it's good food

I decided to have lunch at Agave Taqueria in Oak Harbor today and I got there a few minutes after they opened for the day. No lines. No crowd. No waiting! After studying the menu for a few minutes I decided on the Chicken Taquitos appetizer and then Wet Chile Colorado Burrito for the main course. My food choices were brought to my table about 5 minutes after I sat down! Very fast service that I'm attributing to no crowd. The Wet Chili Colorado Burrito was very tasty. The menu describes it as "Filled with tender chunks of sirloin" and the menu doesn't lie! The sirloin is very tender and cut into large chunks. I enjoyed the flavor of the burrito. It has guacamole, sour cream, Colorado sauce, and cilantro creating a wonderful flavor that I enjoyed, bite after bite. Now, the reason I gave Agave Taqueria only 4 stars is that the chicken Taquitos were cold when I got them. But, even cold they were crisp and tasty. They were served circling a bed of lettuce strips that were topped with a dollop of sour cream and a dollop of guacamole. All of that was sprinkled with diced tomatoes and shredded Cheddar cheese and some cilantro. I found that the Taquitos were even tastier when I dipped them in the salsa intended for the chips. I really enjoy spicy food and the salsa added a nice little kick to the flavor of the Taquitos. The restaurant is small (only 8 tables) and the staff is friendly and polite. The appearance is clean and bright. The walls are covered with hand painted scenes of 19th century Mexico, with quiet strains of Mexican (or Spanish?) music in the background. If you're looking for Mexican food in Oak Harbor, give Agave Taqueria a visit!

Great customer service. I’m in town visiting and ordered an Agave Burrito as is and it was delicious! Service was fast and efficient. I had to get a to go box for the last half of my burrito to take home because of how large it was. Didn’t want to miss out on the rest!

This is my favorite Mexican food joint. It's not fancy and does have a greasy spoon vibe to it but the food is really good and they have fountain Pepsi which to me is awesome. You also get nice warm tortilla chips and salsa along with your order so you have something to much on while you wait for your order. One time I only ordered rice because I didn't have any at home to pack with my lunch and I still got those delicious chips and salsa along with it! 😁 The one thing I don't like is it's not really cheap as one might expect it to be considering the low budget surroundings. Also, I hate to say this, but if the man is not the one cooking you have a chance the food will not be as good. Just thought I'd throw that out real quick. Not being mean or anything.

We went in a group of 8 adults and 4 kids and ordered all vegetarian - veggie burrito, quesadilla, nachos and enchilada. Definitely coming back again. Food: 5/5 You can bet on a mexican restaurant based on the salsa they have. And did they have a delicious tangy spicy and flavorful salsa! And so delicious was everything else - well stocked with enough veggies. Service: 5/5 Nice courteous servers. Helpfully rearranged the tables to accommodate all 12 of us. Ambiance: 3/5 Average ambiance. Nothing special and good enough for any regular family meal.

The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Seafood Fajitas and my husband got the Wet Chili Colorado Burrito which was the best we’ve ever had. If you love margaritas, this is the place. The owners are precious. Simply amazing!
