Amazing variety of food on Oak Island. Arrive around 445 PM (just before opening to avoid a wait). A wonderful selection of food including Calabash style seafood and fancier items like stuffed founder and shrimps and grits. The crab dip appetizer was outstanding. Menu has a good selection of foods including burgers and wings. Service was on point. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Pretty tasty. The salad was green, not just iceberg. The appetizers were great. It was a little dark in the restaurant, the bathrooms have a sink outside the rooms for everyone and the beers were served in the can (no glasses). Still enjoyed it over all. Waitstaff were very nice.

We ate at Turtle Island on a Friday night. The place was really busy. They seated us quickly and our waitress was fast and friendly. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food. I got the Calabash shrimp with fries and coleslaw. Really good!

Great food and service tonight! Prices are inflated a little, but to be expected here on the island. Easy access from the road. Seafood was prepared Calabash style and offered fresh catch options.

Great place! We dined in once and ordered take out another time. Quaint decor and friendly staff.. there were twelve orders for our take out order and they had it ready in about 20 min and there wasn't a thing missing! We got an assortment of items and everyone loved it. The hush puppies were especially good!

Love the mussels! Order them every time we go. With an unassuming outside, simple and quaint dining room and bar, the food is far better than you would expect by appearances. It's our favorite spot on the island and definitely recommend trying it out

Turtle Island was a great experience! We arrived 15 minutes before opening to find a large crowd waiting at the door. Lucky we called ahead to reserve a spot. Our party of 7 was sat a few minutes after doors opened. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Food takes a while to come out from the kitchen but the restaurant was operating at capacity, it should be expected. Prices are fair and average for a seafood restaurant. Food was delicious, not a single complaint from the group. Turtle Island will definitely be on my list for places to eat at Oak Island.

My family loves this place. They have s pretty good kids menu and great daily specials. Their blackened fish are great. The whole fried flounder is awesome and the bacon wrapped scallops are awesome. We come hear every time we are at Oak island. I would recommend coming early though. This place gets busy quick. The have table and bar seating.

Very nice restaurant. The crab stuffed flounder with hollandaise is killer. Its basically a crab cake but instead of breading, it’s surrounded by flounder. Most restaurants mess up hollandaise by making it too buttery. Hollandaise should be that perfect balance between the richness of the egg yolks, the butter, and any extra add ins. I’m pleased to say that Turtle Island’d hollandaise is perfect in my opinion. The grits were also absolutely phenomenal. Best grits I’ve ever had, and single handed my made me want to try the shrimp and grits next time I go back!
