After reading the many terrible reviews of this place, we came here just to see how bad it was. Much to our surprise, it was great! Best bagels in town!

We came here for lunch a few days ago for lunch. I got an order of the mozzarella sticks and the Prosciutto with Sweet Soppressata (panini) while my gf got the Veggie Panini.
The mozzarella sticks were good though I felt the breading was. About thick and/or they were overcooked. The accompanying sauce was great -- a bit sweet with large chunks of tomato. The Prosciutto with Sweet Soppressata was delectable. The meat was very fresh and provolone perfectly melted. In hindsight, I'd have added some onions and tomatoes to cut through all the rich fat on the meats and cheeses but it was still one of the best meals I had while in OC for the long weekend.
My gf loved the Veggie Panini (and told me so no fewer than 3 times while we were eating, along with notifying me we would be stopping here on our way out for another Veggie Panini to-go for our trip home). All in all, the place seemed well run and clean and other guests were audibly enjoying their orders as well. Will def come back to try some more of the very large menu.
While in Ocean City for the week, our family wanted to have a special bagels and lox brunch. We looked up “Best Bagels” snd found this New York Cafe. Seeing the bagels, lox and toppings platter and we thought we’d give it a try. It was a great move! The platter was full of everything you could want on your bagel and plenty of it! The bagels were delicious too, big and chewy like in NYC! Everyone was impressed and full! Five stars plus for New York Cafe, we’ll be back again!
The best breakfast sandwiches in Ocean City, NJ. Would recommend this place every time. They make their own beagles on site. There is plenty of parking and dining inside and outside.

We stumbled upon this gem of a place on our bicycle ride this morning and stopped in. We had a wonderful breakfast and great kibbutzing with a regular customer and new friend.

Best bagels in Ocean City. I order a toasted garlic bagel with scallion cream cheese, turkey, swiss cheese, cucumbers and red onion. The best!! We come here at least once for breakfast every trip. Service is always great. A favorite.
Bagels were fresh, delicious and a nice selection. Just recently found out about this place and will come back for sure!
These are some of the best bagel sandwiches we have ever had. Delicious! And the coffee was out of this world! It's a must when you are in Ocean City!
A very nice experience for an American breakfast on a sunny summer morning at Ocean City. Beautiful atmosphere. The cheese and bacon sándwich, really good and tasty.
